As a college preparatory diocesan Catholic high school, Rosary Academy empowers the mind, body, and spirit of each young woman in a transformative educational experience. Guided by the Blessed Mother, Rosary Academy embraces and challenges its students with an innovative instructional curriculum to achieve academic success and ignite the call to serve the dear neighbor without distinction.
Rosary Academy, founded in 1965 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, is a Catholic secondary school for young women located within the Diocese of Orange and the suburban area of the city of Fullerton. The student body is composed of those who plan to attend college or pursue some other form of higher education.
Rosary Academy is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) and by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA). Applicants are reviewed on the basis of their academic record (grades, test scores, and teacher recommendations), character, and extracurricular interests and talents. Rosary Academy administers the High School Placement Test for purposes of placement in the admissions process.

Under the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, Rosary students are mindful of serving the dear neighbor. Rosary partners with a variety of service organizations such as Catholic Relief Services, Crittenton: Services for Children and Families, Isaiah House, Higher Ground, the Special Olympics, and many more. To foster a lifelong commitment to service, freshmen and sophomores complete a class service project, while juniors and seniors complete 20 hours each year at an approved agency.
The Rosary Support Program (RSP) is a comprehensive program designed to assist and respond to the needs of students who learn differently. The program works to improve study skills, organization, and confidence for students with learning and attention differences.
The Wellness & Enrichment Program helps students find balance in their busy lives. Students are given time to reflect on their passions, aspirations, and challenges; empowered to take control of their lives; and provide opportunities to gain self-knowledge and experience.
Rosary offers a competitive Mock Trial team. This program provides students the knowledge of the California judicial system, develops analytical abilities and communication skills, and helps them gain an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities in society.
Inspire Her is a career series open to all students that showcases a wide range of industries and fields, and exclusively features women professionals on the panels. By building these connections, students often gain shadowing opportunities that turn exploration into real-world experience.
Rosary Academy offers a variety of Pathways to help students achieve academic excellence in a subject-specific area and real-world experience in a future career path.
Pathways: Computer Science, Engineering, Medical, Sports Medicine, Law, Performing Arts, and Leadership.
Presenting students with relevant STEM and robotics principles, Royal Rebel Robotics—Orange County’s first allgirls robotics team—walks students through the principles of design and mechanical engineering in a team environment. Students establish a strong understanding of FIRST Robotics game rules and identify key requirements for robotics.
Offering 17 CIF multi-level sports teams, Rosary Athletics provides a competitive, spirited program for students to learn, grow, and excel. Many student-athletes continue their playing career in colleges, and all teams strive for academic excellence. Rosary has earned multiple league and CIF championships including California State basketball titles.
Students are given an opportunity to connect to mentors, teachers, and business professionals to discover their college and professional career interests through hands-on experiences. Students may intern and/or shadow experts on or off campus.
In conjunction with Rosary’s brother school, TrinitasTheatre is distinguished as one of the best theatre programs in the state. Rosary students have been honored with awards from the Educational Theatre Association, National Youth Theatre Organization, International Thespian Society, and Music & Arts Commendation for Youth Organization.
For over 50 years, Red & Gold has been one of Rosary’s most cherished traditions. This schoolwide endeavor presents a unique challenge to students who create, develop, direct, and perform in a musical theatre production led by student captains. To be chosen as a captain, a student must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and demonstrate aptitude in at least one relevant category. Captains should display leadership potential, personal motivation, a collaborative attitude, and strong organizational skills. As a friendly competition, the Red & Gold process unifies the school community and significantly deepens school spirit, loyalty, and pride.
