MISSING LINK

Term 3 2015

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Year 12 The end of Term 3 has arrived and, with it we say good luck and best wishes to Year 12. As they leave, all their teachers and families will reflect on their time with us and the many contributions they have made to the life of the school. Could I say a very particular thanks to the outgoing senior leadership team who have made a major contribution to the school in 2015?

This Missing Link features a lot of Year 12 major works submitted for the HSC and the feedback from the visiting HSC markers has been very positive. On your behalf, I thank all the teachers who have worked with students to achieve success including class teachers, the senior learning support team, Year Adviser Manvir Singh, Careers Adviser Jeanette Camillos and HT Senior School Kylie Munzenberger. It must be noted that our exemplary Senior School personalised learning approach is producing higher quality

results each year and is one reason so many students are choosing our school for their senior studies. NAPLAN This term the NAPLAN results were published and I would like to congratulate Year 7 for doing well and Year 9 for achieving the best "growth" and progress for some years. When Year 9 started in Year 7, 80% of students were below Year 7 level in reading. Now, the majority of the year group is reading and writing at the level they need for success in the senior school. Over the last 3 years we have changed the way we work as a school and it is now showing in our student results both in the school and on external measures. New Senior Leadership Team

We would like to congratulate the incoming senior leadership team and wish them every success as they lead the school in 2016.
