of the river Mono and later crossed the river, penetrating through the forest on the west bank and arrived at Nuatja, a town founded by the advanced group from Ketu, later known as Notsie.

Notsie was walled to protect its people in the many communities living within its walls. Each community with its leader (A Sub Chief). Each of these chiefs ruled and presided over matters concerning his own people and periodically reporting to the supreme King. The clan of Notsie became known as Dogboawo clan. Later after the death of the Supreme King came a dispute over the succession of the throne between Togbi Sri and his step-brothers, Togbi Sri then fled with the stool and join his uncle Amega Ʋenya. A wave of migration began from Notsie which saw a division of the Dogboawo people into three broad groups and founded the states of Be, Togo, Wheta, Anlo, Klikor, Ave, Fenyi Afife, Dzodze, Mafi, Agave, Tavie, Tokoe and Tanyigbe. These three broad groups is what is now known in our modern day as the Right Wing, The Middle Wing and the Left Wing.

Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI is an alumnus of the following schools; St John’s (Boarding) Preparatory, Mfantsipim, Keta Secondary, University of Cape Coast, and University of New Brunswick, Canada. In 1989, Togbi arrived in Botswana and became a teacher. There he met his wife Dr. Sentsetsa Nono Pilane Tamaklo from the great Bakgatla Royal family of Mochudi, Botswana and Pilanesberg, South Africa. Their last child is named lovingly after Togbi’s dad Duncan Tamaklo. Togbi has lived in and travelled extensively through North America, Europe and Africa (Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Zambia, Botswana, Togo, Ghana, Kenya). He loves mentoring, public speaking, reading, soccer, ping pong, scrabble, and mastermind.

Additionally, for several years in Canada, Togbi Nyaho Tamaklo VI was the Chair for several boards and committees such as the Edmonton Police Commission; Finance and Audit, Governance, and Operations Review, the Ghana Friendship Association of Edmonton and the Council for the Advancement of African Canadians known as The Africa Centre in Alberta, Canada.

In 1991, Togbi Nyaho Tamaklo VI arrived in Canada to pursue his MBA and thereafter became the principal advisor to Chiefs, Mayors, Councillors, Board Directors and Senior Executives. For 13 years, he lived and worked on the Atikameg First Nation Reserve as the Chief Executive Officer. He also served for 4 years as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of High Prairie. As a Management and Financial Consultant, Togbi also

Amega Ʋenya, his nephew Togbi Sri, their families and immediate followers came to constitute the Anlo Kingdom with its capital as Anloga. Other towns founded by their descendants belonging to Anlo Kingdom are Anyako, Seva, Kodzi, Alakple, Atiavi, Asadame, Fiaxo, Tsiame, Atito, Atiteti, Atorkor, Ʋuti, Srogboe, Woe, Tegbi, Keta and Kedzi to name a few. Now to the modern day, Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, born on November 26, 1962 to Duncan Christian Tamaklo and Ludmilla (Ludy) Quist (First born child of Hammond Quist), Togbi is the last but one child of Duncan Christian Tamaklo (aka Gbidimi) who is the first born son of Christian Cakpo Tamaklo popularly known as “C.C. The Wizard of Figures”. C.C.‘s father is James Kportufe Tamakloe (aka Gbidimi) the first born son of Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe I (18001918). Togbi’s paternal grandmother is Catherine Chapman from Keta and his maternal grandmother is Mansa Blagogee from Anyako.
