Trudeau urges Canada Day celebrants to reclaim Maple Leaf as national symbol By: Emmanuel Ayiku, Toronto

In his official message on Canada Day, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the country is strong because of its diversity and also notes that historic wrongs make celebrations difficult for some people. Thousands of celebrants flocked to the national capital for Canada Day festivities heard an impassioned appeal for unity on Friday July 1st as the Prime Minister urged them to reclaim the Maple Leaf as a national symbol.
