PROJECT ABSTARCT The Kochi-Muziris Biennale is a n international exhibition of contemporary art held in the city of Ko c hi in Kerala, India. Pavilion is developed in it. It is inspired with the parameter of BIOMIMICRY. Kerala c o m e s in h u m i d tropical climate so the inspiration is the c a m e l skin w h i c h c a n ma inta in their b o d y temperature in the hot a n d the arid climate of desert. Pavilion is made up of local material Bamboo as its a 12 - day exhibition its easy to assemble and dismantle. Art a n d craft c o m m u n i t y are the important part in boosting the e c o n o m y of the country. B a mb o o products developed b y this c o m m u n i t y helps to p r o mo te national integration, so project is developed in Imphal w h i c h has a c c o m m o d a t i o n as well as the practicing area for the workers a n d the display area for b u y i n g & selling of the products to the people living across the miles. The c o nc ep t w a s to have a centrally located gathering space for their famous dance form(Thang ta )and an amphitheater overlooking to it . A n d the accommodation adjacent to it to m a k e the access ease.

1- Khabarein

-A newspaper stand located at the signal so as to form a nukkad point for the elderly to stop and spend some time on the current affairs .

- It initiates a shelter point during high monsoon for people who don’t have their own houses .

2- Talav Point The Charai Talav forms the core religious destination for rituals in Chembur , although highly polluted at this point of time but is a huge opportunity to develop into an interactive point .

Taking into aspect the people who don’t actually perform the rituals but are here to seek the view , this bridge is designed to fullfill that aspect .

The bridge provides pores on the roof to allow the sunlight perforating and showing the path to the deaf and blind , seating spaces

3 – Khau Gali -

The lane which helps to enjoy the essence and spices of the city with seating .

The street was observed to be a high threat zone as crimes like rape, chain snatching, and wrong practices take place there. Hence designing the street to make it functional and full of life.

Having food courts with seating accommodated within walls by creating niches will reduce area consumption and ensure accessibility for the d isabled by having convenient space for them to move around. .

4- The Vav Feel The idea to create this Vav was inspired from Rani –ki-Vav in Patan which had different functional parameters , though its form is extracted here to divide the crowd along the stairs .

Just after considering the viewers , the performers form the main role towards the lake . During high festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri , huge idols of the god and goddess are sunken into the waters , hence high amount of population is expected and makes the place very crowdy.

The place also can be served as holiday spot during non festive season and so as increases its cultural importance .

5- Cycle Stand & Tire Seating

It acts as a helpful zone for homeless people or even people living in slums can access them for their need.

Inorder to park and make travel easy to the designed spots cycle & wheelchair stands are arranged which also give a connected seating for the specially abled and the ones who are homeless.Due to the existing creche this idea proves fruitful as the usage of the empty , un noticed lane .

6. The Bus Stop & Socket Seatings

The current existing bus stops lacks seating and seem unmanageable with respect to the crowd collecting during school leaving hours .

These bus stops have to be wide enough to tackle crowding on main roads .

Just beside the bus stop is the mosque which again has very little of periphery , hence foldable seatings named as socket sittings are design so as to operate during the mosque timings and when required by the user .
