SLK - Super Lite Steel - Offroad
With the creation of the SLK sprocket, Afam have made a steel racing sprocket as light as the competitors "twin-ring" Steel/Alloy designs - WITHOUT the unecessary compromise in structure and precision, and added cost of making a two piece sprocket. - Super light design. Designed to be milled out way more than alloy sprockets to give lowest possible weight - while still absolutely ensuring correct strength to avoid warping or cracking. - CNC machined. This avoids any mechanical deformation during production and creates perfect tolerances in both flatness and 'out of round' to further prolong drivetrain life. - Made from the best quality steel. C45N carbon steel with normalizing treatment (N). - Induction hardened teeth. Teeth are over 2 times harder than the hub section, so the sprocket life has been greatly increased WITHOUT the side effect of making the whole sprocket brittle. - Black Electroplate finishing. This finish is more than just a paint job! It is an extremely durable coating that is highly resistant to wear and corrosion to prolong sprocket life. - Self cleaning grooves. Grooves on alternate sides to create the best balance of tooth surface and self cleaning properties.
