THE MAGAZINE FACTORY

june 2009 #0 - “FAIRE-deFAIRE” (“ DO-UNDO”)

So, why produce a magazine in the form of a “cover” factory? To give a performative and plastic form to the paradox of a product seeking to be both unique and infinitely reproducible.

Undo-Redo Studio Paris DECEMBER 2009 #1 - “UN” (“NUMBER ONE “)

Undo-Redo Studio Paris MarCH 2010 #2 - “COULEUR” (“COLOR”)

To respond to this challenge, MI© has decided to produce a magazine consisting solely of covers. These “covers” are merely component parts to be assembled in no hierarchical order. The product’s originality is therefore defined by the personal choice of those who compose it and gave it their unique personal imprint.

Salon du Dessin Contemporain (Contemporary Drawing Fair) Paris

THE UNIQUE EDITION

MaY 2010 #3 - “reclame” (“ADS”)

Although the MI© factory’s “original multiple” eludes the logic of the market economy, its “authentic” matrix paradoxically acquires a commercial value as a “unique original”.

Festival International de l’Affiche et du Graphisme (International poster & graphic design festival of Chaumont) Chaumont - France OctobER 2010 #4 - “ insomnie “ (“Insomnia”)

Nuit Blanche Paris ( 4 PUBLICATIONS / YEAR )

MI© wanted to take this process to its logical conclusion by putting the original matrix of the review up for auction at the symbolic starting price of 1 euro.

MADE IN CHINA MI©, created in 2009, is a collective design and illustration review edited by UNDO-REDO. It brings together creative people from all horizons to propose an uninhibited approach to the creation of our time, constantly in mutation and ahead of itself. MI© is a thematic magazine organised around a performance. Each publication explores a possible format, a proposal, in whose interpretation spectators can take part. Each number of MI© can be viewed and downloaded on the website. www.madeinchinarevue.com MADE IN ©HINA - THE UNIQUE MAGAZINE WITH NEITHER HEAD NOR TAIL
