The story of how I got into quad skating is pretty simple; my girlfriend at the time's step mom was into roller derby. To which she had gotten me a pair for my birthday. It was a pair of custom built converse skates with plastic plates and huge wheels. I used to skateboard and scooter when I was a kid so it just naturally made sense for me to try them out at the skatepark where I immediately fell in love. I have a long background in extreme sports starting with motorcycles and skiing when I was only 3 years old. I have fond memories of growing up watching people likeTravis Pastrana from nitro circus, always pushing the biggest tricks they could. I've never been the most interested in style/steez.

What keeps me motivated is pushing the bar higher on what can be done on quad skates. The best example and my proudest moment in the sport would actually be the first time I've ever competed, which was at quad cup in November of 2022 where I attempted a double backflip to fakie on a Short mini ramp. I remembered telling everyone that I wanted to attempt it but you never truly know until you drop in. I didn't land it of course and got badly injured after my 3rd attempt however, it did show that I was down for the cause. My goal is to be the best no matter what I'm doing in life and unfortunately as I take on more real world responsibilities skating continues to take a bit of a backseat in my life but to anyone trying to progress my best word of advice is stay consistent. If you improve 1% everyday then you'll be 365% better at the end of the year.

I’m anArmy vet who enjoys all things art but found a love for digital artwork back when I was in grade school. I love helping people come up with rad designs and bringing their vision to life. I currently work as a Graphic Designer for Brotallion and can honestly say it’s been a freaking amazing time working with them.

Collaborating on brand apparel as well as unit apparel with those dudes has been amazing. I help military units bring their ideas to life in the form of custom apparel both in printed and embroidery. Being that my job in the military is aviation maintenance it means a lot that I can help boost morale for other service members.

Prior to working with Brotallion I was working an art project called Kill Registered. I had an absolute blast working with 3 of my really good friends. We just closed the art project this year after 10 successful seasons. It was a bittersweet ending but a huge success nonetheless. Wouldn’t trade those memories for anything!

I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people so far and I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Kickflips and Donuts, Juliet Tango Customs,Tight Chutes Co.,Almost Convert, In ExtremisApparel, Nightclaw, Murphy’s Guns,AK60 Pilot and so many more.

SketchyAlias

so a little about the name first off haha Sketchy – being that I draw, and all my rough sketches look sketchyAF but they make sense to me. I felt the name sketchy vibed super well haha

Alias – honestly, I couldn’t think of a cool name, but I knew I wanted an artist alias. My son walked in on me working one night and was like “what’s SketchyAlias?” and BOOM there it was. It has a nice ring to it that I think vibes well with my style of art. Other than that, I’m just a regular dude who enjoys long walks on the beach, a nice sushi spot, and riding my motorcycle. Ryan.

What inspired me to start blading is going to the roller rinks with my older brother, what I loved about rollerblading is the freedom to just take off and be free on the wheels and express yourself.

My favorite trick would be a top side acid.

Aspecial memory for me rollerblading is back in Mexico in my first competition in Guaymas, Sonora. Got to meet a lot of bladers from all over the stare of Sonora which was a great experience since I was the only blader in my hometown.

Franco Orozco

My style of skating I would wanna say is aggressive with a dash of creativity.

My goal would be not to get injured lol, but continue to spread the blading around the Phx Valley to keep our sport alive.

Other hobbies I have are working out and spending my time with my kids at the skatepark.

How I stay motivated to keep improving my skills would be meeting up with my blade crew and watching the guys better themselves. That fuels me to improve myself as a blader and stay motivated.

What I enjoy most being on the team is hanging out with other people that have the same passion and love for the sport as I do.

How I manage skating along with other parts of my life is I try make sure I get to skate a couple times in the week in the evenings with my kids who enjoy going enjoy going the skatepark and being apart of the skate scene.
