Kottiyoor is a famous pilgrim town, located in Kannur, Kerala. This town is famous because of the Kottiyoor Maha Siva temple. The thesis design focus on creating a cultural tourism corridor that blends with the socioculture and traditions of Kottiyoor. The aim is to Enhance tourism development in one side same time providing employment opportunities on other. Various spaces were designed with diverse function from space to space. The ancient combat of Kerala, Kalaripayattu was also part of the design.

Kannur’s handloom industry reflects the region’s rich cultural heritage. This region is well recognized for its local craftspeople. The workshop facility provides opportunities for students to learn about artwork, odapoo making, mural painting, and other topics taught by the artists. There are three standard classrooms, two half-wall-height workshops, and a tiny learning amphitheater. Both semi-open workshops are close to the green courtyard.
Kalarippayattu is more than just a martial art; it is an integral part of life in Kannur. It is frequently performed at festivals and cultural events, highlighting the region’s rich history. The Kalarippayattu training centre features two performance spaces: the Kuzhi Kalari, which is 140cm below ground level, and the standard kalari space. The character provides coolness and add privacy to the learning techniques of the Kalarippayattu

The Aloxious School, Nilgiris
The project was to design a school in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu for classes from first standard to plus two. There plan consists of classroom of each standard having two divisions. The south-western part is occupied by the labs. All the play areas is on the southern side of the site, this was done so because the neighboring site characteristics.

The project was to design a residence for a dancer, whose family consists of four members. The design is influenced by traditional nalukettu style of Kerala Architecture. The site is located in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad. There is a long veranda in the front part of the residence. There is a rooftop garden that acts as a relaxation space.

ELDERLY FRIENDLY KOZHIKODE PROJECT
During the final year Urban Design studio, we were given a chance to study in detail about certain urban localities in Kozhikode town so as to have a knowledge about how urban studies are done, etc. The problems faced by elderly were identifies and the design proposals were presented to the people of Kozhikode on the occasion of “Vayojanotsavam”, organized by Kozhikode Co-orporation.

REVITALIZING A FORGOTTEN TOWN - SHORANUR
Shoranur is a historic railway town situated along the banks of the Bharathapuzha River in Kerala, India. The urban study aims to develop context-specific urban design strategies rooted in principles of “tropical urbanism” that can catalyze Shoranur’s renewal by enhancing its cultural and ecological wealth in a climateresponsive manner, nurturing community well-being.

The team work was to use the existing resources at its maximum potential by intervening design ideas that blends in the Shoranur’s landscape. The existing water-body by the Paddy Fields at Paruthipara can be harnessed for its scenic beauty. The stream is currently a recreational hub for the locals in the evenings
It is intended to be a major attraction strategically located near the Shornur Railway Station. Firstly, being at the center, it is accessible to people from all parts of Shornur.

The Lotus plantation serves as recreational space for the villagers as well as the frequent travelers in the Kulapully route.
Location for lotus plantation is proposed at Kulapully due to its close proximity to the PalakkadPonnani road

The existing waterbody by the paddy fields in the Paruthipara can be harnessed for its scenic beauty. The stream is currently recreational hub for the locals in the evenings
A water journey routed through vibrant green paddy fields and vegetated spaces with local species such as coconut palms, showcasing the natural beauty of the region can form a key attraction in the Paruthipara region for visitors
PROPOSED ROUTE
The entry point connects the trail seamlessly to the starting point of the stream cruise, parking along the side for visitors. Adjacent to the embarkation area, there’s a restaurant providing a delightful spot for r visitors to relax and enjoy refreshments before or after the cruise. At the boat deck, tourists can easily board the vessel, ready to embark on a scenic journey along the stream, creating a well-rounded experience for those exploring the serene waterways.
A small bridge went over a babbling stream, made of old wood that looked nice. People walked on it, enjoying the sound of the water. People leisurely walk along the stream, following a charming path that connects two bridges.The boat occasionally slows down, allowing tourists to pause and soak in the scenic beauty of the stream and its banks.Some individuals can take a fishing break at the stream’s edge.
