For the love of motorbikes Jordi Font loves being a part of the ROGZ team at Comercial Dimac in Spain. When not being a Rogger in the office, he is out on his motorbike in Nature, recharging his mojo.
What inspired you to do this? I have been a fan of motorcycles since I was 16. It is an excellent way to combine sport and contact with nature. It is necessary to be in a good physical condition to be able to dominate the motorcycle and to avoid that it dominates you. In the mountains you must drive the motorbike - if the bike drives you, you will finish on the ground! Going on a motorcycle through the mountains has allowed me to go into wooded areas, high mountain areas, deserts and difficult to reach areas where you can find nature at its best.
How do you fit training into your already busy week? In order to maintain a minimum physical level essential for enduro practice, I go to the gym for three to four days, spinning to strengthen my legs and gain aerobic capacity, complemented by a work of the upper body to maintain toned muscles. Normally, we leave with the bike on Saturday mornings, making a route of about 70 km. I also go to 2-3 races a year in which, for me, finishing them is a triumph. I really enjoy sharing this hobby with other people, and in these races there are nearly 800 riders!
How does your passion help with your quality of life? This hobby is very important. It motivates me to maintain a good physical condition at 51 and has enabled me to form a group of friends who share this hobby with those who make the routes (always end up with a lunch to recover forces). The weekly hours on my motorcycle through the forest mountain allow me to disconnect from the worries of work and I recommend it to you!
