At Comfort Keepers, we offer a unique in-home assisted living model where clients receive dedicated one-on-one care while staying in the comfort of their own homes. Our approach combines the convenience and independence of home living with the comprehensive care and services typically found in assisted living facilities. Features of this model include:
• Assessment-based care plans
• Comprehensive services
• Engaged, compassionate caregivers
• A safe and comfortable environment at home
• Family involvement and communication
• Ongoing reassessments
We prioritize communication, involvement, and engagement with seniors to build meaningful connections. We turn daily activities into opportunities for mental stimulation and well-being, fostering independence and positivity. Through Interactive Caregiving, seniors experience personalized care and active participation, enhancing their quality of life. We believe in "doing with" rather than "doing for," ensuring personal interaction.
Ensuring seniors have the opportunity to eat nutritious meals is our priority. Caregivers will prepare hot, delicious, and nutritious meals, allowing members to help with preparation according to their abilities.
Whether in the client’s home or the laundromat our caregivers wash, dry, iron, and put clothes away per the client’s preference.
Caregivers can shop with or without the client accompanying them at their preferred store.
We offer daily telephone calls to clients who may not need everyday care, but whose family can have peace of mind knowing if their loved one needs anything. The calls can be provided as often as the client needs, once per week or three times per day.
From medical appointments to beauty salons, or anywhere the client would like to go.
A caregiver can help ensure that clients take their medication as prescribed. They can also assist with opening medication containers, reading labels, and reminding the client when it’s time to take their medications.
From light to detailed housekeeping, our caregivers can provide whichever level you require. From general day-to-day tasks such as dishwashing, counters wiped and watering plants, to more extensive services such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, organizing closets, and more.
Caregivers can help clients look and feel their best by providing bathing, grooming, and hygiene services.
Our staff will guide clients through washing and combing their hair and other grooming tasks to enable them to feel good about their appearance.
Assisting clients with mobility to help them maintain as active a lifestyle as possible. Getting out and about offers both physical and mental health benefits to seniors while increasing stamina and energy.
The caregiver moves and places clients in the correct posture position to promote health, safety, and proper functioning of the body’s many systems. Proper transferring and positioning to or from beds and chairs eliminates pressure areas on the skin, reduces weakening and stiffening of muscles, and encourages proper breathing, digestion, and elimination.
Caregivers can help clients with toileting and incontinence care. They do so compassionately and sensitively to minimize clients’ embarrassment or perceived loss of dignity and independence.
Clients who have difficulty feeding themselves due to physical or cognitive restrictions may be spoon-fed by the caregiver. It is important to note that this loss of independence can be difficult to accept. The caregiver understands this and will make the extra effort to make mealtime enjoyable.
Caregivers can also help ensure seniors stay on recommended diets to prevent or control a wide variety of medical conditions.
Mechanical Transfer Devices are used to transfer clients from a bed to a wheelchair, bedside commode, bathtub, etc., and are known as total body, or Hoyer lifts. Total body hydraulic lifts are typically used with clients who cannot bear weight, have physical limitations such as amputations or quadriplegia, or who are extremely heavy and need this assistance.
Comfort Keepers will design a solution for each client based on identified needs, the availability of family and community support, and goals. Typical examples include:
A team of caregivers will coordinate caregiving responsibilities in shifts around the clock. This offers clients and their family members peace of mind knowing a loved one has constant care. Specific in-home services can be tailored to meet each client’s needs.
Respite care services can be scheduled as needed to provide family caregivers the time to run errands, go shopping, or get some much-needed rest.
Caregivers will ensure clients with dementia have their general day-to-day housekeeping tasks tended to, such as dishwashing, counters wiped, leftovers dated and put in the fridge, sweeping, and taking out the trash.
Our compassionate caregivers come to the aid of individuals who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We help them and their families with emotional and moral support as well as helping around the home and providing personal and companionship care –whatever is needed.
Our monitoring solutions are designed to meet clients’ unique needs. Helping them to live independently, and empowering them to remain active with on-the-go solutions, or engaging them in their healthcare with vitals monitoring and medication compliance.
Managing chronic conditions is essential, and the simple connections and accountability with Comfort Keepers Clinical Team makes that possible. By sending regular readings to our team, clients can take control of their health with the backing of clinical support.
With a touch of a button, vitals and data are transmitted to our Comfort Keepers team and care center. If the system detects that vitals are out of the client’s normal expectations, our care center contacts the Comfort Keepers Health Care Coordinator assigned to the client to immediately to check status.
The Health Care Coordinator also contacts professionals for further triage as the main goal of using vitals monitoring system is to keep our clients out of hospital. If vitals data is not received in expected time frames, a call is made to remind users to use the device in order for their vitals to be monitored. The data is then sent to the Health Care Coordinator.

Emergency Response system and fast action connection. Our systems utilize cellular connections, are water-resistant, include fall detection, an app for family caregivers, wearable options, and more. Those suffering from dementia who tend to wander, can be located in real time.
The family caregiver mobile app works in tandem with the pendant devices and enables caregivers to support their loved ones. Caregivers can use the App to locate the device on demand, to audibly “ring” the device to help locate misplaced pendants, and to check the battery level on demand.
In addition, caregivers can receive notifications if the user presses the button or if a fall is detected. Caregivers can also view button press history and check the device’s first motion of the day, along with tracking steps and setting a daily step goal.
