Benediction is a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald from 1920. It is the story of 19 year old Lois reacquainting with her 36 year old brother, Kieth. Kieth is being trained to be a priest and is praying as well for the soul of his sister. The story depicts the difference in life between that of a clergy and that of a laity through the contrast between Lois and her brother.
