BBC RECRUITS DIGITAL STARS The BBC Academy is recruiting a new digital team to be based in the Mailbox. It will develop products to help deliver fresh, professional training to BBC staff and the wider broadcast industry. Joe Godwin, director of BBC Birmingham and BBC Academy, said: “I am very excited to be expanding our role here in Birmingham.”

Birmingham entrepreneur Indi Deol is celebrating after his online lifestyle magazine DESIblitz.com won the award for best website for the second time in three years at the Asian Media Awards. Indi, who has appeared in our Company to Watch feature, has enjoyed a successful year with the magazine increasing brand recognition and content to both British Asian and global readers.

NEW BOSS AT BMI PRIORY Paula Naylor has been appointed executive director at Birmingham’s biggest private hospital, BMI Priory, Edgbaston. Ms Naylor, who was previously in charge of the Spire Parkway Hospital, Solihull, said: “I plan to build on the Priory’s reputation for first class medical facilities and top consultants.”
