On Tuesday, April 22 Resorts World NYC hosted a well-attended Procurement Fair that attracted dozens of local businesses that included professional services, food and beverage, health and wellness, interior office designs, event planning, sanitizing, and cleaning services, cyber security, and more. Many of businesses were Queens-based and interested in future contract and procurement opportunities with Resorts World, how to connect become suppliers for larger retail stores as a part of their expansion plans, and to perfect their “pitches” (continued page 3).
“We were pleased to see a number of our Southeast Queens Business Incubator partners in attendance. One of the points that our Program emphasizes is the importance of getting your brand out there by attending events such as yesterdays’ Procurement Fair One of the added bonuses of the event was the presence of Crescent Consultants and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Each representing an opportunity to connect with opportunities at JFK Airport (Crescent) and to further build capacity and access to capital (Goldman Sachs)”, stated RDRC CEO, Kevin Alexander
Resorts World NYC is committed to increasing opportunities for locally-based (Southeast Queens/Queens) successfully compete (and win) contract and procurement opportunities. With the launch of the SEQBI this past Fall, the strategy is to create a pipeline of businesses able to meet bidding requirements, including those required by Resorts World (continued page 5).
