The modular design provides a huge advantage over traditional video walls, speeding up install & offering full-frontal maintenance. Individual
SUPERIOR IMAGE QUALITY
With an LED video wall, each LED functions as a separate pixel, and this allows the display to deliver an outstanding visual experience with mind-blowing quality Furthermore, it’s unaffected by ambient light, no matter the time of the day
technologies shows commitment to progress, strengthening brand image and identity The sophisticated equipment sends a clear message of high standards
LED vs LCD Technology
LED has never been so competitive vs traditional LCD video walls - providing high impact displays with significant energy savings...
WOW Factor: no gridlines!
Power consumption: up to 40% less than LCD
Longevity: Approx 100,000 hours extra life
Flexibility & Versatility: size, shape & design
Bigger and Brighter: Higher contrast ratio
Easy maintenance and installation
What is Pixel Pitch?
Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the centre of each pixel. The smaller the pitch, the higher the resolution of each module.
Optimal Viewing Distances
(LED Pixel Pitch in mm) The LED screen resolution is opposite proportional to the Pixel Pitch
Minimum viewing distance: as a general rule the minimum viewing distance is calculated based on the pixel pitch x 1000. Eg 1.5 x 1000
Optimum viewing distance: as a simple rule, minimum optimum viewing distance is calculated using the displays width or height. Eg 10m wide screen should be viewed from 10m back for the eye to take in all the information on the screen
Fine Pixel Pitch (FPP) <2mm
Aspect Ratio & Resolution
When thinking about LED, 2 important considerations need to be made: aspect ratio and resolution...
Aspect Ratio: Understanding aspect ratio is crucial for LE displayed & whether it fits naturally on the screen. The asp relationship between its width and height It is expressed a example 16:9. For example 16:9 Aspect ratio: this is the mo It means that for every 16 units of width, there are 9 units o content and is considered “widescreen”.
Aspect Ratio & display content: 16:9 widescreen content on a 4:3 display will have black bars at the top and bottom (letterboxing) 4:3 content on a 16:9 display will have black bars on the sides (pillar boxing) or be stretched. For LED Displays, the choice of aspect ratio depends on the type of content being shown and the physical space where the display is sited.
Resolution: refers to the number of pixels used, typically described as width x height in pixels The more pixels the higher the resolution & the clearer and sharper the image. A higher resolution screen will show more detail, even when viewing up close. With low resolution the image may appear pixelated, especially on large displays The resolution will determine how sharp the content appears & can be adjusted depending on the use case. Resolutions include: 1280 x 720 (HD or 720p), 1920 x 1080 (Full HD or 1080p), 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) & 7680 x 4320 (8K UHD)
How Aspect Ratio & Resolution interact: Both factors are critical in ensuring content looks right on an LED screen For example a 1920 x 1080 resolution has an aspect ratio of 16:9 (1920/1080= 1 78 or 16:9). A 1280 x 720 resolution also has an aspect ratio of 16:9. Content made for a particular resolution and aspect ratio should be played on displays that match these settings to avoid distortion or stretching If the aspect ratio or resolution does not match, the image might get cropped or have black bars. Higher resolution & smaller pixel pitch lead to clearer more detailed images. Scaling is possible to adjust for the perfect display - ask for more details.
LED walls are generally more eco-friendly than traditional LCD video walls
Superior energy efficiency
Longer lifespan
Reduced use of hazardous materials
Less power consumption & longer lasting - results in fewer replacements and lower electronic waste
Contains fewer toxic substances such as mercury making them easier and safer to recycle
Traditional LCD displays use more energy, have shorter lifespans and are more challenging to recycle
