Long Beach High School Number 2. LBUSD, $52 Million USD 2D + 3D BIM Drawing Exterior Model Manager / Office BIM Coordinator. Project just gained DSA approval. Construction to begin this year. Santa Monica Boulevard - SMB20 http://www.loharchitects.com/work/smb20 SMB20 - $18.5 Million.Project Manager position for 1.5 years. Wrote all Contractual agreements and took the SD project thru DD and CD’s. Coordinated all project activities for Building Permit. Negotiated consultants fees. Worked directly with national client and local developer. Lead project team staff through schedules, cost estimates, details, BIM collision, and material specification. Site Demolition was started. Project is placed on indefinite hold.

HNTB Architecture 2009-2012

HNTB : San Diego International Airport Terminal 2 West Building and Airside Expansion - San Diego, California - $300 Million USD Digital designer for the SD, DD, and CD project phases of the Terminal 2 West Building and Airside Expansion Project. The terminal expansion will consist of 430,000-SF of new public and non-public areas, providing 10 additional contact aircraft gates, while the airside pavement expansion will incorporate an area of 1.5 millionSF including aircraft parking, aprons, taxiways and taxi lanes. This project was delivered using the designbuild delivery method. HNTB Northern County Transit District, Oceanside Transit Center – Oceanside, California Project Architect for the development of new shelters on the existing west platform. The shelters are designed to relate to existing commuter rail shelters in other stations on the system. Researched Eco-sensitive materials that were cost viable. Organic PVs and custom 3M Resin poured canopies were designed. Design went to a local fabrication manufacturer for bid. SR99- Seattle - HNTB BIM/CAD Project Architect for Tunnel Operations Buildings ( North and South). Provided QAQC for project submission. The tunnel will be the biggest in diameter ever built. The TBM tunnel has 57.5 FT diameter and 9273 mining. The interior tunnel will contain two stacked roads (North Bound and South Bound) with two lines each: Tunnel ventilation duct and egress corridor and utilidor. Sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems: ventilation, CO2 monitoring, drainage and pumping, fire suppression, security, communication and SCADA. The main two operations buildings will have the following dimensions: North:78,205 SF and South: 52,339 SF LAX: Los Angeles International Airport, Tom Bradley Int’l Terminal Expansion – Los Angeles, California Vertical Transportation coordinator between HNTB and Fentress Architects. IM designer for planning and design of $1.3 billion expansion of the Tom Bradley Terminal. The one million-SF project involves two new concourses with A380 capable gates; a five level addition to the existing terminal core providing new concessions, airline lounges and expanded Customs and Border Protection facilities; and provisions for a people mover connection to a future midfield satellite concourse. Watson II Programming, West Los Angeles College - Culver City, California Design manager for development of programming documents as the basis of design for design-build procurement of an 18,000-SF facility for the college’s Motion Picture and Television Production School. The facility will include a 10,000 SF studio-grade sound stage, production /set dressing shop and a prop house. The project will be designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating. P.E. II Programming, West Los Angeles College - WLACC Design manager for development of programming documents as the basis of design for design-build procurement of 17,000-SF of new athletics and physical education/dance department facilities. The facilities programmed include a new dance rehearsal studio and a dance performance studio, new athletics team rooms, locker rooms, showers and restroom facilities, as well as improvements to the baseball stadium dugouts, spectator seating/ spectator experience and a new baseball storage/field maintenance facility. The project will be designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating. Facilities, Maintenance & Operations Programming -WLACC Design manager for development of programming documents as the basis of design for design-build procurement of 14,000-SF of new administrative, shop, storage and warehouse spaces for the campus facilities department.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE COArchitects 2008-2009

Health Sciences Education Building, Phoenix Biomedical Campus University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University - $280 Million USD Assisted the lead principal Architect in all 3D massing, rendering, plan, elevation, material studies. Lead the digital BIM Model management. Worked SD and DD phases for 13 months. This was a GMP project that initiatly had 700,000 SF of assignable program. The building was reduced three times to fit budget. Future phases include 2 more 12 storey lab buildings. he HSEB contains flexible classrooms, simulation laboratories, gross anatomy facilities, pre-clinical training facilities, learning resources center, student services, faculty offices and administrative space. Inspired by Arizona’s iconic canyon formations, the façade meets objective criteria for thermal performance and durability, while creating an architectural expression specific to the building’s place and time. CO Architects: Executive & Design Architect; Ayers Saint Gross: Associate Architect. Transolar was contracted to assist in the SD phase and their data was implemented at various charettes. Jonathan Kanda was the PM in charge.

San Pedro High School, John & Muriel Olguin Campus Los Angeles Unified School District - San Pedro, CA Worked with lead office designer Dennis Macfadden with the Gymnasium, Library, and Multi-Purpose spaces. I added interior options for seeing how daylight worked against glare. The assignments to coordinate spaces was entered into the BIM model by the BIM team. My CD responsibilities were to model and render only. Life Sciences Center Loyola Marymount University- Los Angeles, CA

Worked on SD directly with Bob Steel ( team designer) to win this short list competition. I supported the project team with digital content, printed 3D models, and 3D renderings to win the work. We developed over 14 schemes in the 4 months. The new building designed under the LMU Campus Master Plan, the science center establishes new campus aesthetic standards in a modern, interdisciplinary facility for biology, chemistry and natural science. The science center contains teaching laboratories, lab support space, faculty offices, classrooms, shared public spaces, a 300-seat auditorium serving the entire campus, and a 300-vehicle subterranean parking structure. Lookinglass Architecture and Design 2007-2008

East Valley Adult Center - Sherman Oaks, CA Executed working CD drawings for the 17,600 SF project. LGA was the executive architect to RCHS. We performed final exterior CD drawings and specifications. Project was $625 per SF in 2008. Emil Mertzel was in charge of contract development. My assigned task coordinated working specs and engineering systems. There are three main planning blocks for the site. Exterior materials were standing seam metal, CMU, and Portland cement plaster. Prepared DD documents for Private Residential Cleints - 2 different houses

Carrier Johnson Architects Costa Mesa and San Diego, California, USA (Sept 2004-Jan 2005, July 2005-Feb. 2006) CSU Dominguez Hill Learning Resource Addition and Renovation (DD) Assisted with overall design development and State Board Chancellor Approval Various task components included building physical pedestrian bridge models, electronically mapping natural sun path movements through the primary exterior entry courtyard, material area estimate takeoffs, documenting existing site conditions, and updated campus project site plan. Claremont University Master Plan- Graduate School Housing (DD) Modified and updated site plan with new floor plan configurations. VCCCD Fire / Sheriff Academy (SD) Assisted with client power-point digital presentations CIM Housing I-Hope Tower- Downtown LA- (DD) Developed new rooftop penthouse/loft units (live /work style). Newport Office Building – (DD) Coordinated all design-build drawings for all team disciplines, building department official, construction contractors. Westin Hotel Study – Ontario, CA (SD) UC-Irvine-Social and Behavioral Sciences Building (SD) Project design assistant, printed and fabricated scaled digital study models, constructed physical site models and program massing studies. Worked closely with manager to resolve working schemes that provided efficient building solutions. Attended all client project kick-off user group meetings and presentations. Managed current design drawings for campus director approvals. Mariner’s Church Chapel (SD) Prepared interior digital model renderings. Actively involved throughout the entire design charette iteration process. Oaklawn Masterplan – Chula Vista (SD) Created with project manager’s direction, a new viable urban design solution for new non-traditional housing neighborhood. This complex planning development framed a local vernacular of building with modern placemaking. Finished a full schematic design package that integrated over 700 residential units. Designed six complimentary prototypical town home unit types that were flexible and feasible. Established presentation graphics and clarified concept models with program scope.

Coordinated digital model renderings with outside resources. Beverly Hills Unified School District – Modernization school projects for Hawthorne, Horace Mann, and El Rodeo (CD). Job captain position. Three different urban campus locations that primarily included Auditorium and Toilet facility upgrades. Created all reference plan, section, elevation drawings for entire building project. Managed all electronic file distribution, format, information for DSA review and submission. Generated accessible sign package. Schematic design team member responsibilities included: Maintaining current arena floor plans with actual program scope areas. Coordinated client presentation drawings with digital parametric model and various physical Masterplan design models.
