Strategy. What's yours?

I've been talking lately to luxury real estate agents nationwide for an upcoming project, which I'll be excited to tell you about in our next newsletter.

Something that comes up repeatedly when buying or selling is strategy. Strategy is an important part of winning. Professionals know this. Whether you’re preparing for the big championship game, strategizing in the boardroom, or looking to buy or sell, how do you make sure you get the best results?

If you're a seller, there are many facets to that strategy such as pricing, marketing, introducing the property to the market, negotiating multiple offers, or getting multiple offers in the first place. For buyers, it’s easy to start looking. Just pull up any website and start clicking. However, haphazard planning will bring haphazard results.

Whether you have an agent now or will be picking one soon, track record is always important. But I also ask you to consider, "What's your strategy? How do we go about this? Are you just expecting the usual and ordinary?" Unless you or the house you're selling is ordinary, then your strategy shouldn't be ordinary.

Just like a finely tailored suit, a tailored strategy is critical to your success, and how it plays out will differ every time.
