What Is Home

My paintings are inspired by the spirit of discovery and the beauty found in the previously unknown. I aim to capture the tension between the unpredictability of life and the desire for control.

Inspired by the places that have been significant in my life, this body of work is a celebration of the diverse cultural influences that have shaped who I am; it reflects my deep connection to my roots and my current surroundings. These paintings captures the essence of my travels and shares them with the viewer, allowing them to gain insight into my personal evolution. The work expresses my internal exploration and creative journey as I strive to make sense of my experiences and reminds me of the beauty in our individual paths to self-discovery. Through my artwork, I create a visual representation of my experiences, thoughts, and feelings, inviting the viewer to enter my world and see the beauty and whimsy that exists within it.

My process involves a combination of spontaneity and control, where I work intuitively with the elements of the painting, allowing the colors and shapes to organically form while I strive to maintain a sense of cohesiveness. Mixed media allows me to play with different materials and techniques, adding depth and complexity to my pieces. The textures and marks convey a sense of movement, evoking the rhythms and patterns of everyday life.

I strive to capture the energy of my subject matter through bright colors and bold strokes. I also aim to create a sense of harmony between the elements within each painting. I use light and color to draw the viewer in and evoke a feeling of serenity. In this crazy world, I see art as a tool to convey a sense of peace and to bring people together.

The paintings are a reflection of my personal journey, a reminder that with courage, we can all embrace change and find peace, joy, and contentment even amidst the chaos.
