Swords is set to face weeks of traffic disruptions from the start of this month, Fingal County Council has revealed. The council plans to carry out major water main laying works from Kettles Lane to the junction of Main Street and Malahide Road in Swords. The eight-week programme will be
carried out over three phases, and is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of May or early June 2013. The works are necessary to secure future water supply for the greater Swords area. The works were welcomed by Tony Lambert, chief executive of the Fingal Chamber of Commerce who this week reminded members of the public that Swords will remain open for business.
An eggcellent find: Grainne’s a winner at Pavilions Easter Hunt grainne Conway of Swords was one of the many lucky winners at the Swords Pavilions Easter Egg Hunt. Children were led by The Mad Hatter himself, as they scoured
the centre for delicious chocolate eggs, before taking part in arts and crafts events and face painting. Grainne is pictured with her mother and father, Emer and Jim.
