THE STAFF at Kenny’s Pub in the village recently got a surprise when actor Mark Dunne from RTE’s Love/ Hate show dropped in to their popular back bar for a quiet drink. Mark, who plays Ado in the hit TV series, is pictured with the pub’s staff members, Stephen Byrne, Patrick White and Michael Maher.

A LUCAN mother was left without money for almost a week after her one-parent family allowance was temporarily suspended because
she did not fill out an annual review form. Mar y Brady says an employee in the Clondalkin Social Welfare Office told her she needed to fill out the renewal form in order to con-
tinue to receive her benefits. However, she could not fill this out in the Lucan social welfare office so had to make the hour and a half journey to Clondalkin on foot, as she did not have the bus fare.
The Department of Social Protection said Lucan does not have a full social welfare office, but the Office of Public Works is currently looking for a suitable premises. Full Story on Page 2
