LEE Weatherston and Robin Diesta were ready for anything as they settled into their first day at “big” school recently. The little boys looked great in their smart new school uniforms at St Finian’s, in Newcastle, where lots of other boys and girls were getting to grips with the strange and exciting experience of going to school, as their parents and guardians reassured them what a great time lay ahead.

C O N T R OV E R S Y h a s erupted over the plan to auction 274 acres of land at St Edmundsbury. Residents in South Dublin have demon-
strated a wide degree of rejection at the proposed sale, which is due to take place on September 26 by Jordan Auctioneers and Chartered Valuation Surveyors. Deputy Joanna Tuffy
(Lab) believes the community’s determination against this proposal will ensure the land’s protection. “There have been about nine attempts to rezone St Edmundsbury in the past, and each time it has
