A TOTAL of 463 litter fines were issued by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council from January to October this year, with local politicians expressing their disappointment that the figure has not decreased over the past year. Cllr Chris Curran (SF) expressed his “sadness” that no improvement had been made in the county since last year when the number of fines
issued for littering from January to September was 427. The area with the highest number of reports relating to illegal dumping received by the council was Barnaslingan Lane, with a recorded 22 complaints, with the Allies River Road and Stonemason’s Way coming a close second with 21 complaints.
