Mitchell: ‘Be alert for Luas thieves’ Bairbre Ni Bhraonain
DEPUTY Olivia Mitchell (FG) is appealing to Luas Green Line commuters to be more vigilant, especially during rush hour, after she was robbed on the Luas this week. Deputy Mitchell told The Gazette that a bystander took her wallet from her handbag, and she only became aware of the theft when she went to retrieve the wallet as she got off the Luas. She said:“When I reported it to
the Garda, they told me there had been a couple of incidents on the line, so people should be aware of this. “I didn’t expect to get my money back, but I wanted to report this guy as I’m concerned that they find him.” Deputy Mitchell is a frequent Luas user, and despite the incident says she will continue to use the service daily.
