Ballymount burns Fire continues to smoulder at the Oxigen Recycling plant

Arson is now suspected as the cause of a fire that continues to smoulder at the Oxigen Recycling plant in Ballymount.
Suspicions are based around another fire that was reported in a carpet factory in the same industrial estate as Oxigen on January 25. The fire, which started
on Saturday, January 25 at approximately 3.10am is being jointly investigated by gardai, the fire service and the Environmental Protection Agency. Clondalkin TD Robert
Dowds (Lab) said that he was “extremely sorry” for the way the fire has negatively affected local businesses and people within the Ballymount area. Full Story on Page 6
