Vandals target Clonee motorists with rocks
Drivers left shaken as windows smashed when they drove on a quiet slip road

A NUMBER of motorists had their cars damaged by vandals throwing rocks on the Clonee slip road, with one young, autistic passenger left notably shaken by the incident.
During the weekend, there have been three reported incidents of this nature off the main N3 Cavan-Dublin road, but according to one local councillor this has been an ongoing problem for several years. Speaking to The Gazette,
Barbara Kelly said she was with her two children when she heard a very large object hit the side of her car. She said: “I knew instantly what had happened and nearly went straight into the car in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and
had to swerve to prevent myself from crashing. “I was very shaken and could see three or four teenagers by the trees on a nearby green where several containers are located.” Full Story on Page 3
