This prefabricated LJ/TJ Sandpit Form is designed to facilitate easy set up and convenient concrete pour. Save time and money with this product and take the guess work out of onsite fabrication. This form is made of specially folded 1/8” aluminum to maximize integrity and rigidity. This item meets NFHS, NCAA, and IAAF specifications.

Similar to the F400 series, the F420 Sandpit Form with Ledge includes prefabricated ledges designed to hold the Gill Aluminum Sand Pit Cover. Save time and money with this product and take the guess work out of onsite fabrication. This form is made of specially folded 1/8” aluminum to maximize integrity and rigidity. CONSULTATION: Sand pit forms should be installed with some form of drainage system. The absence of a drainage system can result in oversaturation of the sand and consequently an unsafe landing surface. It is recommended that a facility have at least two LJ/TJ landing pits. Runways should be placed in close proximity and parallel to each other. IAAF specifies that fill sand should consist of washed river sand or pure quartz sand, without organic components, maximum 2mm granules, of which not more than 5% in weight is less than 0.2mm. LJ/TJ SAND TRAP COVER SYSTEM GENERAL DESCRIPTION: For pre-installed LJ/TJ sand pits, the LJ/TJ Sand Trap Cover System can be utilized for sand storage and removal. This product is fabricated from galvanized steel bar grating with a perforated rubber overlay. Each unit measures 18” x 36” x 15/8” and lifts easily for sand removal. The sand trap covers require a ledge around the perimeter of the sand trap trench to rest on. The installer may have to make one or more field cuts to ensure the covers properly fit the customer’s sand trap trench.

This Portable Sand Pit with Catcher is a portable above ground sand pit designed for use with a raised runway (not included). The assembled inside dimensions of the F450 are 23’11” x 9’8”. Modular units bolt together to create a sand pit and come apart for storage. Excellent addition to any indoor facility needing a temporary LJ/TJ Sand Pit.

This LJ/TJ Sand Pit Cover is fabricated from extruded aluminum seat plank. The ideal cosmetic cover for your LJ/TJ sand pits. Three planks per panel are securely welded together in a frame of 23/8” x 1½” x 3/16” aluminum angle. Each panel comes with four retractable handles for easy installation and removal. A 2” wide supporting recess is required on each side wall for the panels. This recess is not required on the end walls. Manufacturing begins upon receipt of form 730148-2 (field check guide). A typical sand pit requires 10-11 cover panels.

The tray is designed to be incorporated into runways and holds the take-off and foul boards flush with the runway surface.

When it comes to take-off boards (and runways), more is better. The long jump and triple jump events tend to be real bottlenecks in the schedule of a track meet. Thirty jumpers on one runway means that each jumper will have over half an hour between jumps. This is not conducive to performance and is certainly not fan friendly.

HAMMER CONVERSION CIRCLE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This Aluminum Shot/Hammer Circle consists of 1” x ¾” x ¼” aluminum angle that is roll bent to a 42” (107mm) radius. Four arcs of chord length 59 3/8” form the circle. To assemble and secure the ring, ¼” (.64cm) holes are located at the center and ends of each arc.

The Hammer Conversion Circle is designed to be installed in an existing discus circle to convert it for the hammer throw. This allows single circle hammer cages to be used for both hammer and discus competition. The circle is molded out of a stiff but pliable PVC plastic. Dropped hammers will not bounce off of or damage it. The circle consists of four interlocking sections that form a solid, rattle free ring which is easily installed and removed. The circle is compliant with NCAA specifications for conversion circles.

PORTABLE DISCUS CIRCLE PLATFORM

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

These three Indoor Shot Put/Weight Throw portable circle items are meant to be utilized together. Wood screws are provided to attach the toeboard (3680) to the circle (368), while this all attaches to the throwing surface (3681). This Indoor Throwing Circle is built in accordance with NCAA specifications. It consists of two sections of ¾” plywood crescents joined on each side by 6” plated steel strap hinges. Four inch plated steel chest handles are located adjacent to the four corners of the circle board. The handles lift up for transport and fold away for storage. The board is coated with medium gray enamel paint and marked with white stripes designating the throwing arc orientation. Overall surface covered is 8’ x 8’ square. The Wood Shot Indoor Toeboard is fabricated from select yellow pine and sealed with two coats of white enamel paint. The Throwing Surface consists of three pieces of ¾” 7-ply birch plywood that fastens to the underside of the circle to provide the athlete with a smooth, hard surface inside the circle.

This Portable Discus Circle Platform consists of a 12’ x 12’ x 2” wood platform and an aluminum discus circle. The wood platform breaks down into four 8’ x 4’ sections and four 8’ long 2” x 6” stringers. The aluminum discus circle consists of aluminum angle roll bent to a 49 7/32” radius. The wood platform is painted gray. Sector lines are painted white, 2” wide, and set at 34.92 degrees. The platform and circle are fastened together using hex bolts. This platform is not meant to be moved while assembled. It is recommended that the platform be stored laying on a flat even surface. The narrow cage opening greatly reduces the area outside the landing sector that an errant thrown discus can land in while not impeding a good throw. This layout is still less restrictive than the current IAAF cage specifications.

The IAAF Stadium Discus Cage consists of nine 5.3m tall, rolled aluminum net poles with ground sleeves and a weather treated nylon net. Each pole stands in a 90cm deep ground sleeve. Galvanized steel tubes support the net between the first two poles on each side. Four hinged net arms at ground level hold the net in place at the front of the cage. The net is 340 lb test nylon which has been weather treated for extended service life and features rear entry access to the cage. This layout meets IAAF requirements for the 34.92 degree landing sector in a stadium with spectators all the way around and other events taking place.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The IAAF Tall Hammer Cage consists of eight rolled aluminum net poles, two galvanized steel door hinge poles, and 10m tall aluminum moveable doors. Each pole stands in a 48” deep ground sleeve. A ground sleeve kit is sold separately. The main net is 10m x 31.1m and features rear entry access to the cage. The door net is 10m x 2m. Both nets are 340.7kg test knotted nylon and have been weather treated for extended service life.

This Shot Cage consists of 805 four net poles with ground sleeves, a vinyl coated net support cable to reduce net sag, and a weather treated nylon net. Steel poles are finished with a durable white powder coat paint. Each pole stands in a 20” deep ground sleeve. The net is 340 lb test nylon which has been weather treated for longer life. Eighteen inch steel flip arms secure the 14’ by 42’6” net at the front two poles with ground stakes used at the back poles.

The discus has a stronger tendency to skip (bounce) when landing on synthetic turf. This phenomenon should be considered when making cage and landing area location decisions. NFHS state that the outermost poles should be positioned 4-5’ from the sector line. Increased safety can be achieved by reducing this distance.

This Water Jump Barrier with ground sleeves provides a rigid hurdle for the water jump. The barrier has a spring loaded top for easy height adjustment. This Steeplechase Water Jump Cover is fabricated from extruded aluminum seat plank. Three planks per panel are securely welded together in a frame of aluminum angle. Each panel comes with four retractable handles for easy installation and removal. The supporting structure for these panels is fabricated from aluminum tube. Each main support beam has a supporting leg assembly bolted to it. The addition or removal of stainless steel washers allow each leg to be customer fit to its position. Position pins at the front of each beam engage holes in the front wall support tube to lock them in place. To ensure a proper fit, production begins only upon receipt of form 730146-3. This kit provides easy access to the base of a football goal which allows for easy installation, adjustment, or removal. The access frame creates a uniform, seamless surface around the goal post for improved safety. Kit includes access frame and pole plugs that fit around a goal post with a diameter up to 65/8”. For safety, a solid plug is strongly recommended for use when the goal post is removed. Each goal post requires one kit. Blank metal allows track surface application for continuity in D-Zones.

SOCCER GOAL ANCHORING KIT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This ground sleeve is an option for securing portable goals with rear spreader tubes in a turf field. It has a small 41/2” footprint and a flexible top that compresses with surrounding turf on impact. Chain link wraps around anchor pin inside ground sleeve and rear spreader tube on surface to secure goal in place. Padlocks included. Cap may be covered with turf for uniform appearance.

This Soccer Goal Anchoring System device latches around the base of the football goal offset and is then connected to the back bar of the soccer goal. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Designed to meet all standards for competition. Gill’s official field hockey goal measures 7’ high x 12’ wide x 4’ deep. The side frames are a one-piece, unitized frame to provide unequaled stability and ease of assembly. Front uprights and crossbar are constructed of sturdy 2” square heavy-wall structural steel tubing. Entire frame is finished in a durable white powder coating. Official 18” high bottom boards are standard with each unit. Weather treated nets are 11/2” square black mesh made of #21 thread nylon cord with a nylon binding for a maintenance free, long life. Nets are furnished with goals.

Official style lacrosse goals are 6’ x 6’ and designed to meet all NCAA and NFHS requirements for competition. The front uprights and crossbar are constructed of 17/8” outside diameter heavy wall steel tubing. Uprights and crossbar are finished in a durable, official orange powder coating. For maximum stability and player safety, portable goals include a heavy “V”-shaped steel bar base system. Goals are furnished with a heavy duty regulation net of 13/4” square white mesh, #36 nylon netting.

Much time can also be saved by not having to chase down errant shots on goal, etc. Net bottom unhooks for convenient passage between venues. Fabricated from 4” diameter, 1/8” wall, 6061-T6 aluminum tube. All poles stand in 40” deep vertical ground sleeves fabricated from

galvanized steel. Poles can be removed, but are of substantial weight and are for more permanent applications.
