2018 marked our 72nd year in the real estate business. Throughout the course of the year, I found myself constantly reminded of the significance of such an accomplishment. It is clear that the same sacrifice and commitment demonstrated by our founders in the family garage in 1946 is also the reason Roberts Brothers continues to lead the market today.

Our competitive advantage lies in the fact that our sales associates have preserved the most recognizable real estate brand in South Alabama and engrained professionalism and integrity into our company culture. These, and other core values, are demonstrated at each of our 5 offices each and every day.

As our industry continues to adapt, we look forward to continuing to embrace change and exploring new ways of achieving our ultimate goal: to provide an exceptional home buying and selling experience.

Corporate sponsorships totaling more than $42,000 (Not to mention, hundreds of hours of time, money, energy of our agents’ time allocated to nearly every corner of our community.)

16 Sales Associates and staff participated in the Big Brother Big Sister program on company time.

Re-investment

Expanded our presence in the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Key Markets with the renovation of our state of the art beach office.

Upgraded and expanded tech tools such as the company’s intranet (RBCLOUD), thereby helping our agents to become more efficient and productive for our clients.

Launched our “8 Weeks to Success” training program for new agents providing a step by step guide to becoming successful and maximizing service to buyers & sellers.

Held 84 “Smarter Sessions” throughout the year with topics ranging from business development to transactional issues.

Provided more free training and continuing education to our sales associates than any other company in the market. Notable speakers and programs include Jim Lawrence, the David Knox video series, Joanna Blackstock, the Mentor Program and our internal training program, RBI University.

Expanded the effectiveness of our training and onboard program by hiring 12 “Agent Success Coaches” and upgrading our Mentor Program.

Facilitated a wildly successful “Roberts Brothers Expo” at the Gulfquest Museum in Downtown Mobile. Speakers included acclaimed national presenter, David Knox, as well as local market experts.

Roberts Brothers, Inc. is purchased by HomeServices of America, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway Affiliate. HomeServices is the second-largest residential Real Estate brokerage firm in the United States.

Roberts Brothers, Inc. and Dauphin Realty join forces to expand what is already the top residential firm in South Alabama.

Launched the Roberts Brothers “Young Professionals” (YP) Committee led by co-chairs, Katelynn McKinley and Richard Harski. The committee held networking and training at several events including a bus tour to the Port of Alabama during the summer of 2018.

Expanded staff support in several key areas of the company and launched our Marketing Genie concept, increasing the quality of collateral materials for listings.

Contributed to the expansion of our sales associates’ individual businesses by recognizing top producers internally, in print, and on social media.

Significant investments made into our culture such as the Annual Meeting at the Steeple, dinner nights for the staff, and numerous other company functions.

Facilitated the 3rd annual Roberts Brothers Convention, a 7 day cruise where over 50 agents, staff, and their families departed from New Orleans with stops in Cozumel, Costa Rica, and the Roatan Island.

Improved transactional security measures for buyers and sellers through multifactor authentication (MFA), email monitoring, and wire fraud education.

Anne Powell received the Harriett M. Isaacson Excellence in Education Award from the Alabama Association of REALTORS.
