Buttered Roll

BUTTERED ROLL

is a collection dedicated to the process of learning and experimenting with design. In the course of assembling this edition we asked a variety of designers and artists to submit work which was made during moments of creative exploration. Looking for compelling congruencies, interesting aesthetics, and original narratives, we then created new pieces by weaving together visual elements from our pool of submissions. Our only goal in this project was to create compelling visual media from the scrap piles, desktop folders, and old portfolios of our creative peers. While the result is rather meaningless, we believe there is value in the experience of mindlessly scrolling through these pages. In the multi-course, wine-paired, five-hour long feast that is design, this collection is the Buttered Roll. It is not substantive, nor does it have much value, but it sure is delicious. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
