TOMMIE JEAN COULTER FRANKLIN, TENN. - Tommie Jean Coulter (Williams) passed away in Franklin, Tennessee after a brief illness on 3 April 2015 at the age of 78. Tommie was born in Lubbock, Texas on 1 December 1936. She was the third daughter of Tom and Opal Williams of Post, Texas. She grew up in Post with her parents and three sisters and graduated from Post High School in 1954. Tommie was a member of the women’s basketball team and cheerleader at Post High. Tommie married John (Jack) William Coulter on 1 September 1956 in Post, Texas and lived in Austin where they both continued their studies at University of Texas. Following their graduation, they worked in various pharmacy jobs in Texas before settling in Victoria. Jack and Tommie had three sons: Keith, Charles and Forrest. Tommie took pride in her career as a pharmacist and continued working into her seventies. She and Jack owned Medical Center Pharmacy in Victoria for a number of years. Tommie also opened and operated two card and gift shops in Fort Worth and Plano named "Coulter House Cards & Gifts." Over the years, they later resided in Burleson, Fort Worth, Lubbock and San Antonio before moving to Tennessee in 2013 to be near their son. Tommie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack, of Franklin, Tennessee, her son John Keith Coulter and his wife Gina of Brentwood, Tennessee, son Charles Palmer Coulter and his wife Serena of San Antonio, Texas, son Forrest Matthew Coulter and his wife Jenney of Jacksonville, Florida, sister MaryAnn Dowell and her husband Joe Dowell of McKinney, Texas, and brother-in-law Horace Bowden of Big Spring and her nine grandchildren, ages 8 to 22. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Opal Williams of Post, sister Helen Mason and brother-in-law Jody Mason of Post, and sister Jackie Bowden of Big Spring. There will be a memorial service to honor and remember Tommie J. Coulter on Friday, 17 April 2015; 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Post, Texas. EDWIN L. "ED" MAYER YOAKUM - Edwin L. "Ed" Mayer, age 90, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015.He was born March 25, 1925 to Paul and Angeline Mayer in Lavaca County, Henkaus Community. He married Dorothy Beyer on April 18, 1945 in Shiner. He attended Dickson Country School before enlisting in the Navy Air Force in 1944. He served his tour in California. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion for over 50 years. Survivors: wife, Dorothy Mayer; daughter, Peggy Krejci (Elias); granddaughters, Kimberly Kvinta (Chris), Glenda McCulloch (Tim), and Laura Cumby (Kevin); greatgrandsons, Tyler Kvinta, Hunter Kvinta, Bryan McCulloch, Timmy McCulloch, Sean McCulloch and Hudson Cumby; sister, Martha Boedeker. VICTORIA - Dorothy L. Reese passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born March 18, 1922 in Hanley, Texas (Tarrant Co.) to Arthur Bernice and Minnie Elizabeth Hill Boyd. On April 19, 1942 she married Barney Edward Reese. They were married 57 years. Dorothy was a homemaker, retired from the catalog department of Sears, Roebuck and Company. She was a volunteer for 25 years at Citizens Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady. Dorothy is survived by daughters; Nancy Reese Jackson and husband; Jerry and Suzanne (David) Wearden; Grandchildren; Denise (Mark) Tom, Heather (Steven) Linscott, Amy (Thomas) Gwosdz and Brian Wearden. BELTON - Viola Hobbs Bianchi, 87, died on April 8, 2015 in Belton, Texas. Viola Caroline Olga was born on July 19, 1927, in Malone, Texas to Henry and Sophie Hodde. In 1947, Vi married Oliver Earl Hobbs in Victoria, Texas. They moved to Houston in 1955 and she continued her civil service work, employed by the Aerospace Fuels Office. Earl died in 1974, and in 1980 she married Victor Bianchi in Victoria. Vi is preceded in death by her first husband Earl Hobbs, who she was married to for 27 years, and by her second husband Victor Bianchi, who she was married to for 30 years. She is also preceded in death by her stepdaughter Gail Rybak. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Roxanne Hobbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her daughter and sonin-law Lynne and John Palamara of Belton, Texas. Grandchildren include Steve Hobbs and wife Lindy of Bixby, OK; Mike Hobbs and wife Sarah of Pittsburgh, PA; Brian Hobbs and wife Crista of Bixby, OK; Vicki Hobbs of Tulsa, OK; Chris Palamara of Grapevine, TX, and Nick Palamara of Austin, TX. Great grandchildren include Matthew, Brandon, and Nathan Hobbs; Kylie and Addison Hobbs; Havyn and Cane Hobbs, and Christian Brown. She is also survived by her stepdaughters and their husbands, Mary and John Halamuda, Lydia and Darren Mobley, Nancy and Gary Williamson, and their children and grandchildren. Vi loved her family. In their eyes, her greatest contribution was her supportive strength and love for each of them. She loved to dance, listen to music, and play dominoes. Vi was always full of energy and a great inspiration to everyone. A visitation will be held on Monday April 13 from 6-8:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be held at the same location at 11:00am on Tuesday April 14. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
