Through its broad network, it supports supplier growth by forming strategic relationships with both on-premise and off-premise customers. The company helps elevate partner brands and connect them with consumers in

meaningful ways. With operations in the District of Columbia and 38 states, it continues to pursue its commitment to being a valuable business partner within the wine and spirits industry.

The team consists of more than 10,000 employees across its nationwide footprint.

History

Republic National Distributing Company’s origins can be traced to the combined legacies of three family-owned distribution businesses that shared similar values and service approaches. Each began as a small organization that prioritized relationships, dependable service, and strong ties to suppliers. Over time, these independent operations grew steadily and recognized that their business philosophies aligned in practical ways.

As each organization advanced, it became clear that joining forces would strengthen its ability to support a growing market. This alignment eventually led to the formal merger in 2007, when two of the legacy distributors united to create what is now known as RNDC. The merger brought together decades of distribution experience, well-developed supplier relationships, and leadership grounded in family values. It also introduced new scale and operational reach, enabling the combined organization to serve a wider and more diverse customer base.

RNDC’s heritage dates back to before Prohibition, reflecting a long presence in the beverage alcohol sector. Today, it operates in a modern three-tier environment spanning traditional distribution, digital commerce, and, where applicable, direct-to-consumer support. It continues to focus on consistent service and reliable standards across operations. Its national growth has allowed it to serve suppliers of all sizes while supporting local markets with practical solutions.
