Quick Hits • The Robert Morris University men’s basketball team, winners of four of their last five contests, concludes a two-game road swing Saturday afternoon with a 4:00 p.m. tip against St. Francis Brooklyn at the Pope P.E. Center in a game that can be seen live on ESPN3. • RMU opened its road trip by notching its third straight road victory thanks to a 63-59 overtime win @ Mount St. Mary’s (1/22/15). Freshman guard Marcquise Reed hit a threepointer with 11.3 seconds to play that helped send the game to the extra frame and finished with a game-high 21 points in the win. • The Colonials held Mount St. Mary’s without a field goal in the final 3:10 of regulation as well as overtime to post the win, a stretch in which the Mount finished 0-for-11 from the field. • Junior guard Rodney Pryor added 17 points and three rebounds @ Mount St. Mary’s (1/22/15), while freshman forward Elijah Minnie returned to the lineup and finished with five points, a team-high six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. • Prior to its win @ the Mount (1/22/15), Robert Morris closed out a two-game homestand at the Charles L. Sewall Center with an 85-65 victory over Sacred Heart (1/18/15). Freshman guard Marcquise Reed led four Colonials in double figures scoring against the Pioneers by tying a career high with 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field and also registered career highs in rebounds (6) and assists (5). • Senior forward Lucky Jones recorded his second double-double of the 2014-15 campaign and ninth of his career against the Pioneers by contributing 22 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures against SHU was junior guard Rodney Pryor, who finished with 15 points, and junior forward Aaron Tate, who established a career high with 10 points while grabbing eight boards. • Robert Morris enters Saturday’s game @ St. Francis Brooklyn leading the Northeast Conference in league games in field goal percentage (.489) and three-point field goal percentage (.413). • Freshman guard Marcquise Reed has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week a league-high four times after garnering the honor Jan. 19, 2015. Reed is just third player in program history to earn NEC Rookie of the Week accolades at least four times. Former guard Karon Abraham (2009-11) also earned the honor four times in 2009-10, while former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) was bestowed the accolade five times in 2005-06. • Senior forward Lucky Jones became RMU’s all-time leading rebounder by grabbing nine boards against St. Francis Brooklyn (1/16/15). Jones is RMU’s active leader in points (1,422) and rebounds (775) entering Saturday’s game @ St. Francis Brooklyn and also owns career totals of 168 assists and 153 steals.
