Since its debut in 2013, the rodeo has grown steadily, evolving into a full weekend packed with rodeo competition and country fair-style attractions. Organizers say the event has become a highlight of the year for families across the region.

A big congratulation goes out to all of the organizers and volunteers on another successful edition of the Richer Rodeo. Events like this are only possible because of people like these volunteers — individuals who

give their time and energy to make our community stronger, more connected, and proud of what we can achieve together.

The Municipality sees the hard work, dedication, passion, and effort

so many of our community members put into this event for all to enjoy.

Thank you for another fantastic event, for putting Richer on the map and showcasing our community’s spirit and pride.

DEVELOPMENT PLAN AMENDMENT:

OCTOBER OPEN HOUSE

The Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne is undertaking an amendment to the mapping portion of our Development Plan. As part of this process, an Open House will be held on October 14th from 4pm-7pm at the Richer Young at Hearts Club to share information and gather feedback from residents.

If you would like to request a change to the designation of your property, at no cost, please submit your inquiry to Hadiseh Bajelan, Development Officer, by October 31st, 2025.

Submissions can be sent by email to development@rmofsteanne.com.

All requests will be forwarded to our planning consultant and to Council for review. Council will then determine whether the requests align with the community’s longterm goals and, if appropriate, include them in the proposed Development Plan amendment.

We look forward to your participation in helping shape the future of our community.

TEAM UPDATES: NEW HIRES, NEW ROLES & NEW ENERGY

Welcome to the Team, Felicia!

We’re excited to welcome Felicia as our new Administrative Assistant! With over 15 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Felicia brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our team. She will be the friendly face at our front desk, ready to assist residents and visitors!

Welcome to the Team, Tom!

We’re also excited to welcome Tom as a new member of the Public Works team. Tom brings experience as an equipment operator and will be supporting a range of important maintenance and infrastructure projects in our community.

Moving On Up: Samantha’s New Role

Congratulations to Samantha, who is stepping into her new role as Public Works and Recreation Administrative Assistant! Her creativity, hard work, and teamwork have made a big impact, and we can’t wait to see her shine in this next chapter.

Shoutout to Our Summer Superstars

We welcomed two summer students this year, Jayden and Timothy. Both assisted with mowing, weed trimming, and beautification efforts throughout the Municipality. We appreciate everything you’ve contributed this season and wish you the utmost success in your future studies and endeavours.

Here’s to growth, change, and new beginnings ahead!

NEW BILINGUAL WEBSITE NOW LIVE!

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new bilingual website! Visitors can now access content in both English and French, making our resources more accessible to a broader audience.

Please note that while the site is now available in two languages, some content is still in the process of being translated. Our team is actively working on completing the translations and will continue to update the site as new content becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure a fully bilingual experience. Stay tuned for ongoing updates and feel free to request French language documents from the RM Office if they are not yet available online and we will accommodate!

DON’T LET IT HIT THE FAN! PUMP YOUR SEPTIC TANK BY OCTOBER 15TH!

The RM of Ste. Anne Environment Act License (for the municipal lagoon) states that we cannot accept septage (the stuff from your septic field tank) between October 15 and June 1st of the following year. If it’s been a while since your last pump-out, now’s the time to book it! Note that this does not apply to holding tanks (that’s considered sewage, not septage).

Need help finding a service provider?

Here’s a list of registered operators to help you:
