Huddle Up House Team!
We welcome you again to this magnificent stadium to Huddle for the House at our 3rd Annual Jerseys & Jewels event! This evening, we celebrate serving over 5,500 families since opening our doors in 2011. We also celebrate the successful launch of two new programsThe Ronald McDonald Family Room at Caroline's Corner and Happy Wheels: Hospitality Carts. Tonight we asked you to help us to continue reaching further to keep families close when their child receives medical care!
Jerseys & Jewels celebrates the RMHC connection to the NFL! The event, first envisioned by our Chair Marnie Schneider, was launched virtually in 2020. Again this year, we pulled out all the ‘bells and whistles’ at the home of the Carolina Panthers, giving a real 'players eye view' of the field at Bank of America Stadium. Jerseys & Jewels brings us back to our NFL roots with an upscale tailgate in the luxury of the Gallery Suites. Our Game Day presentation will include many traditional fundraising components including a LIVE auction and a large array of silent auction items…speaking of which, have you placed your bids yet via your phone?
We so appreciate you playing a major role as a member of the RMHC of GC Team. Without your support, we could not serve the hundreds of families that need our assistance each and every year. Now, come on team – let’s win one for our families!
See you in the end zone!
Denise G. Cubbedge, CEOI am so honored to serve on the Board of this phenomenal organization and to again Chair this spectacular fundraising event. It’s an incredible opportunity to spread the word and attract support for our important mission of keeping families close! As you may know, the things most near and dear to my heart are football, family, and the Ronald McDonald House. My passion for the House has been with me since I can remember. My grandfather, Leonard Tose, was not only the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles, but he was also the co founder of the very first Ronald McDonald House that opened in Philadelphia in 1974.
I’m excited to see Jerseys & Jewels continue to take off since we first kicked it off virtually in 2020! Tonight, we will again honor those individuals, like my grandfather, who dreamed of a home for families of children going through a medical crisis. I would especially like to honor my friend and co-founder of the first RMHC House, Dr. Audrey Evans, who sadly passed away in September at the age of 97. Without her vision and love for children and their families RMHC would not exist today. Tonight, we gather under the stadium lights to celebrate how that legacy has extended to Charlotte and touched over 5,500 families from our region and beyond.
Jerseys & Jewels was made possible by an incredibly dedicated committee and staff that are as passionate about RMHC as I am. We hope you truly enjoy this evening’s festivities and open your hearts to support this incredible organization at a new level.
Marnie Schneider, Jerseys & Jewels Chair
