for your support of our Lunches of Love program! For a family with a seriously ill child, a delicious meal can be quite the pick-me-up.
Planning Ahead
While we will provide your group with brown paper bags and labels, we ask that you bring all of the ingredients for your Lunches of Love as well as Ziploc bags.
To ensure health & safety, store-bought items should be in unopened containers, and all produce brought in whole
Lunches should include:
Sandwiches: ham, turkey, veggie, etc.
Crunch: chips, pretzels, goldfish, etc
Fruit: apples, oranges, fruit cup, etc
Sweet Treats: fruit snacks, Hostess cakes, fruit roll-ups, etc
Beverage: Capri Sun, juice box, mini water bottles, etc.
We ask that groups plan to pack at least 50 lunches.
Allergen Information
To better serve our families, we now list common food allergens on our Lunches of Love kits. As you purchase your ingredients, we ask that you pay special attention to the food labels of the items you buy to mak allergens that may be present Common alle peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, an asking you to remove these from your menu that you know what is in the ingredients you can properly label them. Health and Safety Guidelines
If a member of your group is not feeling well or has been exposed to a contagious disease, we ask that they stay home for the safety of our families
To prevent foodborne illnesses, refrigerated food should be cold when brought in, and frozen food should still be frozen solid
Wear closed-toe shoes.
Tie back long hair and wear facial nets for beards.
Wear provided aprons and gloves while handling and preparing food.
Volunteer Requirements
Please limit the size of your group to no more than 8 people. This includes adult chaperones if there are children with your group.
Children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the kitchen area due to the nature of the tasks involved in preparing the meal
Children under 16 years of age must be supervised at all times
Guests 18 or older must sign in via our Lobby Guard system, which will run a public sex offender check. Individuals who appear on the national sex offender registry will be denied entrance to our House.
