TL BEAUTY SALON LOCATION: São Luis, Brazil AREA: 462.84 ft2 PROGRAM: family-run Beauty Spa intended to be a immersive space, where beauty is the main subject. SOFTWARE: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Vray & Photoshop Challenging interior design project developed in a 462,ft2 space. Their main demand was to separate the hair styling area from the make up area in order to make the clients feel more comfortable in a more private space, as part of the experience. For that, the beauty salon was divided into two dierent areas, each designed and thought out for their specific use (hair styling and make up), connected by a hallway that also works as storage for both areas, with a floor to ceiling closet composed by shelves and cabinets creating an ever-changing, interesting piece of furniture. Because the company has a reputation of being a very feminine space, with close to all of its clientele being composed by women, the choice of materials followed a very soft colour palette, with a lot of pastel colours on walls and furniture and the use of raw, natural textures, creating an atmosphere of comfort and coziness that would make the experience as relaxing as possible.

FLOOR PLAN

For this project , I used AutoCAD for the all the technical drawings (construction/demolition plan, lighting and ceiling plans, hydraulic and electrical installations plans, sections and elevations). As well as built 3D model, rendered scenes, and drafted millwork project and details of furniture.

PROGRAM: Design a retrofit proposal for a complex of historical buildings. SOFTWARE: AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup, Vray, Photoshop & Illustrator

Symbolically embracing the building’s former history, as a textile fabric, the platform wraps around the original chimneys, making them part of the statement. However designed in a way to contrast the original buildings, purposefully stating its condition of contemporary addition, the elevated platform uses elements common to that historic period, such as metal and glass, acknowledging the building’s past.

The elevated Platform adds dynamism and movement to the space, bringing an interesting contrast with the colonial buildings, which brings up curiosity, attracting visitors. As well as providing extra outdoor and indoor exhibition opportunities, turning it into a versatile architectural piece.

JM APARTMENT LOCATION: SĂŁo Luis, Brazil AREA: 699.65 ft2 PROGRAM: Single Family apartment SOFTWARE: AutoCAD, SketchuAp, Vray & Photoshop The JM Apartment was designed to fill the needs of a young couple, whose influences come from Brazilian culture and lifestyle. They needed a space that was vibrant and alive, reflecting their personality but also practical and uncluttered. A space that is stimulating and yet feels like home. The Apartment was entirely constructed on structural concrete block, which implies that no openings can take place on the walls, so all interventions to the ambient had to be done through furniture that would

allow them to use it as a space for display and storage, as needed.

The couple has a very busy life and needed a place to unwind after a long say of work, for the reason there’s a constant use of natural materials and textures through the apartments, whether in the form of wooden details or handmade finishes and vegetation.
