Form 5307

Introduction Introduction Scope of Manual This manual describes and provides instructions and parts list for a Type 1190 Low Pressure Gas Blanketing Regulator System (figure 1) complete with Type Y190 pilot and Type 95H supply pressure regulator.

Product Description The Type 1190 Gas Blanketing Regulator System is a pressure reducing self-contained, pilot operated regulator system used for extremely accurate pressure control on very low pressure blanketing systems. The regulator system helps to control emissions and provides protection against any contamination by atmospheric conditions by providing a flushing action.

Specifications Table 1 lists specifications for the Type 1190 Gas Blanketing Regulator System. Specifications for a given regulator as it originally comes from the factory are stamped on nameplates (figure 2) located on the actuator and main valve body, while the pilot control spring range appears on the pilot spring case cap.

Installation and Startup Startup WARNING Personal injury, equipment damage, or leakage due to escaping accumulated gas or bursting of pressure-containing parts may result if this gas blanketing system is overeFisher Controls International, Inc. 1991; All Rights Reserved

pressured or is installed where service conditions could exceed the limits given in table 1 and on the appropriate nameplate, or where conditions exceed any ratings of the adjacent piping or piping connections. To avoid such injury or damage, provide pressure-relieving or pressure-limiting devices (as required by Title 49, Part 192, of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, by the National Fuel Gas Code Title 54 of the National Fire Codes of the National Fire Protection Association, or by other applicable codes) to prevent service conditions from exceeding those limits. Additionally, physical damage to the gas blanketing regulator system could result in personal injury and property damage due to escaping accumulated gas. To avoid such injury and damage, install the gas blanketing system in a safe location.
