Giraud Evleri: Bugünkü Sanat Sokağı’nın yanında Dokuz Eylül İlköğretim Okulu’nun karşısında Fevzi Çakmak Caddesi üzerinde bulunan köşk, 1860 yılında William Giraud tarafından inşa edildi. William Giraud’nun babası Türkiye’de ilk tekstil fabrikasının kurucularından. Bina uzun yıllar Lui Cortazzı tarafından Venedik Konsolosluğu olarak kullanıldı. Botanik Bahçesi: Ege Üniversitesi Botanik Bahçesi, ülkemizin en yetkin ve uluslararası nitelikteki tek botanik bahçesi. Bahçe yapay koşullarda, tropik bölgelerden Alp Dağları’na kadar çok geniş bir coğrafyaya ait pek çok bitki türünü barındırıyor. Yaklaşık üç bin bitki çeşidi mevcut olan bahçede yüzlerce ağaç ve çalı türü yetiştiriliyor. Kurutulmuş bitki örneklerinin korunduğu ve üzerinde bilimsel araştırmaların yapıldığı bir Herbaryum Merkezi de yer alıyor.

Pandespanian ( Bardesbanian) Mansion: The mansion, which is located at the last stop of the old train station and at the entrance of the university campus, was built in 1880 by the Pandespanian family. It was renovated by Ege University and it is currently used as a social facility of the university. Murat House (Haunted Mansion): Murat House, which is also known as the ‘Haunted Mansion’ among people, is located at the intersection point of Fevzi Çakmak Street and Gençlik Street. It was built in 1880 by the English family Edwards, and it includes an almost ruined bath in its garden. Rumour has it that a maiden was visiting the mansion and carried over some things at night for long years. Because of this rumour, the mansion is known as the “Haunted House” among the locals. Belhomme House: The house was built in 1880 by the English architect Clark who also designed the Aliberti House. It was recently renovated by Helene Armand who comes from the Belhomme Family and works for UNESCO. Charlton Whittal (Büyük Ev): Gençlik Caddesi üzerinde bulunan ve günümüzde Ege Üniversitesi Rektörlük binası olarak kullanılan köşk, tarih içinde Hollandalı rahibelerin manastırı olarak kullanılmış.

The building, which is located at No. 34 on Fevzi Çakmak Street next to Is Bankasi, is currently used as Bornova Municipality Library (Atatürk Library). Steinbuchel House: The mansion was built in 1860 by the English John Maltass and it is located across the Rectorate building of Ege University on Hürriyet Street. During the Independence War, this magnificent mansion was used as the headquarters of Atatürk. Charlton Whittall (The Big House): The mansion on Gençlik Street, which was used as a monastery for Dutch nuns in the old times, currently serves as the Rectorate building of Ege University. Giraud Houses: This mansion is located on Fevzi Çakmak Street across Dokuz Eylül Primary School and next to today’s Arts Street, and it was built in 1860 by William Giraud whose father is among the founders of the first textile factory in Turkey. The building was used as the Venice Consulate for a long time by Lui Cortazzi.

Botanic Garden: Ege University Botanic Garden is the only botanic garden in Turkey with international standards. The garden accommodates several types of plants from a wide range of geographies from the tropics to the Alps. Hundreds of kinds of trees and bushes are grown in the garden which includes approximately three thousand plant types.
