Kış mevsiminde güneşi görmeyen bu ülkelerin yurttaşları hem Antalya’da tatil yapıp hem de tedavilerini sürdürebilirler.” dedi. Türkiye’nin iş gücü fazlılığı nedeniyle yurt dışına işçi gönderen ülkelerden biri olduğunu dile getiren Erol, işçi isteyen ülkelerle Türkiye arasında yapılan “İşgücü Anlaşmaları”na dikkat çekti. Erol, bu anlaşmalar çerçevesinde yürürlükte olan 22 sosyal güvenlik sözleşmesinden dokuzunun yalnızca uzun

vadeli, 13’ünün hem uzun vadeli hem de kısa vadeli sigorta kollarına ait düzenlemeleri kapsadığını belirtti.

Ortak çalışma Antalya’da sağlık sunucularının arttığını ve sağlık hizmeti sunucularının kendi branşlarında uzman, kaliteli olduğunu belirten Erol, sağlık turizmine ağırlık verildiği takdirde her sezonda doluluk yaşanacağının altını çizdi. Turizmciler ile sağlık hizmeti sunucularının ortaklaşa yapacakları çalışmalar ile yurtdışından tedavi amaçlı turist getirilmesine yönelik adımların kolaylıkla atılabileceğini dile getiren Erol, “Özellikle aşağıda adı geçen 22 ülke vatandaşının ilimizde tedavi olmaları yoluna gitmeleri halinde dolu bir kış sezonu yaşanacaktır” dedi.

Holiday and treatment all at the same time! Convoking the tourism enterprisers in terms of the health tourism which has been a matter of debate in Antalya for a long time, the Provincial Director of SSI Antalya, Selim Erol said, “You will bring the tourists and we will provide the health services”. people travel in the European countries for health tourism, Erol stated that these 15 million European tourists could also visit Antalya in winter months. Drawing the attention also to the necessity to create concepts in the field of health tourism, Erol said, “The treatment centre of the disease of depression, which is experienced seriously especially in the Northern European countries, could be Antalya. The citizens of these countries, which are not sunny during winter, can have a holiday and maintain their treatments in Antalya all at the same time”. Articulating that Turkey is among the countries that sends workers abroad due to the surplus of labour force, Erol drew the attention to the “Labour Force Agreements” signed between the countries demanding workers and Turkey. Erol stated that nine of 22 social security contracts, which were in effect within the frame of these agreements, include regulations related to only the long term insurance branches and 13 of them include regulations related to both long and short term insurance branches.

Joint work Stating that health providers had increased in Antalya and health care providers were professional, qualified in their

own branches, Erol underlined that every season would be full in case of focusing on the health tourism. Articulating that steps, aimed at bringing treatment-purpose tourists from abroad with the help of cooperative works between the tourism enterprisers and health care providers, could be taken easily, Erol said, “We will have a full winter season, in case that the citizens of especially the following 22 countries come to our province for treatment”. Drawing the attention also to the financial dimension of health tourism, Erol said, “Benefits with very high financial dimensions will be provided, in terms of enterprises that are active in fields of both tourism and health. Since these enterprises are active intensely all the year round, dismissals and informal employment will have been prevented”. Stating that besides Antalya, health tourism could also be applied in the whole Turkey due to the agreements signed, Erol said, “However, the fact that Antalya has many features, a coastal line of 640 km and a coast on the sea and that it is a natural tourism city with historical areas has made our city a leading actor”.
