Since its establishment in March of 2018, the Administrative Commission (AC) has attempted to fulfill its charge in working with the John Calvin Presbyterian Church (JCPC) and its supply pastors in rendering advice and support. Initially the AC’s role was extensive. Representatives attended each stated session meeting and many regular worship services. A member of the AC served as liaison to the pastor in addition to our real presence with the session as we were needed. With the arrival of Rev. Jennifer Hope Kottler as supply pastor in August2020, it has been possible for the AC to gradually reduce its level of attendance at worship services and session meetings. The positive and healthy leadership which she has provided is evidenced by regular reports from the pastor and the session. Those factors, together with the resignation from the AC of Rev. Dr. Ella Busby and Rev. Kyle Henderson, two valuable members of the AC, have resulted in an assessment of the need for the continued existence of the AC.

The AC concludes that it has fulfilled the conditions of its charge and that the time has come to dissolve the AC. This decision has the unanimous support of the JCPC Session, Rev. Jen Kottler and the AC.

The AC is grateful for the support and cooperation of all the stakeholders who have contributed to the effort that brings us to this conclusion, and we pledge our continued prayers and support for the efforts the saints of JCPC and its Pastor in their continued ministry. THEREFORE, the undersigned members of the Administrative Commission of the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, hereby move the dissolution of the Commission.
