Dear Riverstone Community,
I am excited to share the college admissions results for the Class of 2025 and a few of the themes and stories that emerged from the tremendous work that our seniors did.
What does it mean to attend your dream school? For some, it means going to a highly renowned and extremely selective college. For others, it means going to school in a different country where the learning experience centers around travel and a more specialized course of study. Some dream schools are ones you just discovered, hidden gems because of how well they fit you thanks to their unique offerings or their superior return on investment. By any definition, dream school acceptances abounded for the Class of 2025.

With all of the challenges surrounding college affordability, it’s important for students to be able to qualify for merit aid. Merit aid is any financial award that a college offers based on a student’s academics and other desired traits like their embrace of challenge, their strength of character, and the depth of their extracurricular pursuits. A Riverstone education distinguishes students in all of these areas, and the Class of 2025 showed it through the impressive amount of merit aid that they were offered.
Total Aid Awarded: $11,235,897
Average Aid Per Student: $295,682
Number of National Merit Finalists 1
Number of Full Ride Scholarships 6
Number of Scholarships Valued at $100,000 or Above 51
There are 2,691 four-year colleges and universities in the US. 97% of this year ’ s seniors who applied to a US college or university were admitted to a school in the top 150 (exceeding our goal of 95% for the year), 60% were admitted to a school in the top 50 (the top 1.8% of US schools), and 34% were admitted to a school with a <15% acceptance rate.
While rankings and selectivity are not how Riverstone defines student success, they do show how prepared our students are for higher education across the board. Our goal is to prepare students for whatever path they want to take. From highly sought post-secondary routes to the road less traveled, we ’ re proud to see the Class of 2025 embody our school’s mission through the journeys they’ve chosen.
Sincerely, Mr. Scripps
