How many years have you been at Riverstone? 13

What is the title of your Extended Essay? The Pipeline: From Covid-19 to Socialism

What was your most important or meaningful CAS experience? My most meaningful CAS experience was the progression of learning how to use my body correctly after a back fracture. The process taught me a lot about grit and perseverance.

What have your (personal) challenges been at Riverstone?

Riverstone and my grade specifically, is like a family. I’ve known and seen the majority of these kids turn into adults and change over the years. But, as wonderful as that’s been, we fight like siblings. Learning to get over things and deal with them because you cant change things has been a challenge.

Tell us the ways you feel that you are prepared for the next part of your journey. Riverstone taught me how to function and communicate well with people you may not particularly like. It taught me to get over our differences, in order to get the task at hand completed.

What are two pieces of advice that you want to give to other students at Riverstone? 1. It doesn’t matter if you think you and your friends are too different than the rest of the groups in your grade to get along. Reach out, plan grade functions. I promise you won’t regret it. 2. Befriend Brittany Roper, she’s there for school things, but truly there for anything. She notices when you're off and she’s one of the teachers that truly cares about you as a person, not just as a student in her class. She's also probably the coolest person I’ve ever met, so if you don’t go to her with personal or academic problems, let her tell you her funny and wild stories about her life.

What are three words that describe your experience at Riverstone?

Family. Crazy. Baffling.
