What was your most important or meaningful CAS experience?
Either participating in a one-on-one plant medicine mentorship with a renowned master herbalist, which I was able to use to contribute to my community or volunteering in inner city New York with the homeless population.
What have your (personal) challenges been at Riverstone?
Time management with long term projects such as my Personal Project or Extended Essay.
What are one or two of your favorite memories or highlights of your journey at Riverstone? Grand gulch (striking views and a wonderful opportunity to get to know my peers). The beginning of school via Zoom and all the funny memories which accompanied it.
Tell us the ways you feel that you are prepared for the next part of your journey. I understand the value of hard work and self-responsibility. Additionally, Riverstone has nurtured my love for learning as well as fostered my ability to think on my feet and outside of the box.
What are three words that describe your experience at Riverstone? enriching, challenging, unique
What are two pieces of advice that you want to give to other students at Riverstone? Take advantage of the small class sizes and more personal teacher-student relationships. Remain close and connected with your class (these will likely be your peers through graduation and they can help you through the difficulties of the IB and even your own personal struggles) .
Don't fall behind, even if an assignment feels not as valuable as you wish it did, you have to trust the process.
