promotion, advice and assistance Our Visitor Economy and Wagga Events teams can provide assistance to make your conference or event a success. We offer support and advice on everything from selecting the perfect date or venue to promotion of your event and funding opportunities. Whether it’s helping create a new event or building on the success of an existing one, our team wants to hear from you.

We work together to promote events happening in our local government area to residents and visitors through online and print mediums.

The Visitor Economy team can also arrange information packs for delegates, guided tours of the City and itineraries for delegates to explore the region.

The Wagga Events team has put together the Wagga Wagga Events Guide, online at waggaevents.com.au.

It covers planning and executing a successful event in a way that’s easy to understand. It’s full of handy tips and checklists so you don’t forget anything from development applications and risk assessments to road closures, food and volunteers.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES There are opportunities for events to access Council funding. Get in touch with the Wagga Events team to discuss if your event may be eligible and how to apply.

Council’s Annual Grants Program Funding is available each year through Wagga Wagga City Council’s Annual Grants Program. The aim of the program is to support a wide range of activities that build community capacity and enhance community wellbeing, aligning with the Community Strategic Plan, Ruby and Oliver.

Major Events Sponsorship Events may be eligible for Major Events Sponsorship funding through Wagga Wagga City Council if they have the potential for: • A significant impact on the local economy • Bringing a large number of visitors and/or participants from outside the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.

TICKETING AND REGISTRATIONS There are a number of options for ticketing and registration across Council.

Wagga Wagga Visitor Information Centre The Visitor Information Centre can sell event tickets in person. Tickets must be provided for sale.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm, Sunday 9:30am to 2pm. Closed Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Anzac Day 1pm to 5pm.

Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre Booking Office The Theatre’s Booking Office provides a professional ticketing service for commercial and community shows and events held in Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts. In addition to purchasing in person, tickets and registrations are also available online at any time for added convenience.

Booking Office opening hours: Monday to Friday 10.00am to 5.30pm. Closed public holidays. The Booking Office is also open 45 minutes prior to performances.
