R iver s a nd Dist r ict Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting last month in which a new executive was announced. Relative newcomers to the business district, Carina Blankenspoor and Rae Culleton agreed to serve as president and vice-president respectively. Carina opened CB Aspire Salon 2.5 years ago and Rae began Skin by Rae on March 14, 2021. Michelle Budiwski moves into the position of past-president while Ken Tait and Dave Falkevitch have retired after years of executive positions. Treasurer Laura Gill remains on the board as does secretary Sheila Runions. It was our pleasure to recog nize a long-t ime member who retired from the business district on Oct. 30. At our November meeting, we agreed to present this owner with $100 in Chamber Bucks, but our January meeting was another virtual gathering so the presentation was post-poned one month. Angela Lau was honoured for 36 years of successful professional conduct and faithful membership in the chamber while operating Angie’s Hair Salon & Gift Shop. She can redeem her
