The Fr iends of R ivers Lake are thrilled to receive $2,500 from the Westoba Cred it Union Inspire Program to create a public boat launch at Daly Beach. Friends of Rivers Lake Vice President, Lorne Green recognizes the impact COVID-19 has had on the community of Rivers and the timeliness of this financial support. “With a world full of restrictions, the great outdoors has become a safe zone for everyone,” said Green. “Lake activities have become popular and access to Rivers Lake provides for safe recreation for families of the Westman area.” Boat launch priority Friends of Rivers Lake have made upgrading lake facilities like the Daly Beach Boat Launch a priority. “For us to complete much needed upgrades, we are dependent on funding partners like Westoba Credit Union; Many boaters and fishermen visit our lake and this grant will help make launching their boats a more pleasurable experience. Thank you Westoba!” Rivers Westoba Branch Manager, Kassie Thomson commented on the dedication of the community
