n Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, the Oak Lake and Area Lions Club held their annual all you can eat Manitoba pickerel fish fry at the Oak Lake Community Hall. From 4:30 to 7pm, anyone could head down to the hall to enjoy pickerel fillets, French fries, baked potatoes, coleslaw, buns, and Randyâs Famous Baked Beans. For the fish there

was homemade tartar sauce. To finish this delicious meal, dessert was vanilla ice cream with caramel or chocolate sauce. The place was packed with over 300 people who came out to enjoy this meal and help raise money for this fundraiser in support of Lions Club for their many projects that better the community and surrounding area. There was a 50/50 draw. So many Lions Club members and volunteers worked hard to make this event a success. Even the president of the Club was busy serving the pickerel to the eager crowd.
