t 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27 Rivers Police Service responded to the scene of a collision in the downtown area. ivers am ulance and fire department were also deployed and on scene in less than five minutes firefighters sta ili ed the scene while EMS workers secured a driver efore eing taken to hospital. Chief Bruce Klassen reports the following information. “Rivers Police Service responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of
Second Avenue and Main Street. It was determined vehicle No. 1, a 2003 GMC Envoy, had een proceeding east on Second Avenue. Vehicle No. 2, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, left the stop sign efore it was safe to do so and the vehicles collided. There were upper body injuries sustained by both drivers in this collision.
