Rivers Jets atom mixed team played in Oak Lake Ice Bandits’ tournament this past weekend and went undefeated in round robin play! Their three wins and one tie put them in the Aside final against irden Cameron, the team they tied in round robin. n the championship final game, Rivers was down a goal until Jack Oakden scored at 8:56 in the second period to tie the game at - . he game ended up going to a five-minute four-on-four overtime period; however, neither team scored and the game was to be decided by a shootout. Gavin Pomeroy was solid in net and after several rounds of shooters, Faith Burtnick netted the game-winning goal for Rivers ets ack was awarded Player of the Game for Rivers for his efforts.

aithful readers might remember a story printed last year regarding Janice Meadows of Forrest. She was looking for support of a volunteer challenge at a A golf tournament in Orlando. For new readers, and those who cannot remember the original information, the process will once again be explained. Janice has been at three Arnold almer invitational golf tournaments. he first year was as a spectator, the past two as a volunteer. She became a volunteer through an easy online process, but she never thought she would be contacted. The first year she worked on the shuttle committee and “wel-
