How do you maintain your netball court? Netball is an extremely popular sport that is played amongst two teams comprising of seven players from each side. It is a sport that is usually played by women. Netball evolved into its sport through basketball. Netball has proven to be a very popular game among nations included in the commonwealth games. The dimensions of a netball court are - 30.5m long and 15.25m wide. A court is divided into three parts. It has two 4.9m radiuses semi-circles on opposite ends as goal areas. Polymer rubber bits or macadam-broken stones which create compact layers for surfacing- are used for netball court construction. Taking good care of your netball court is very important. A wellmaintained court cements the safety of players and that the court does not get in the way of their performance. Making sure that fixing a sports surface isn't delayed is of vital importance. Proactive maintenance includes moss and algae treatment. The application of this treatment prevents contamination of the surface. Another proactive maintenance technique is brushing and washing the court, removing litter, dirt, and leaves, etc. This specific upkeep should be fairly regular to avoid graver problems on the court. The second major form of maintenance is reactive preservation. This form of preservation mostly works on fixing problems that may have already occurred. Reactive maintenance includes reapplication of paint to make lines and markings more prominent, repairing damaged areas, etc. Basic ways to maintain a netball court are1.
