DETAILS

An offshore development center (ODC) is a foreignbased offshore team of integrated talents that provides software development services to a corporation. In a nutshell, it's a foreign operations subsidiary of a corporation.

Sec-22, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh

The design brief stated to plan an ODC for Tata Consultancy Services, located in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Soil type - Red soil

The site is located in a developing area and the office will get the required exposure.

Roads- 10m int. road, 20m access road

Currently there are no public transport available in the area.

Since, Naya Raipur is a scarcely populated area, services are not easily available.

Since, it is a developing area, further expansion of their industries is possible.

CONCEPT

FORM DEVELOPMENT

The concept of this ODC (Offshore Development Centre) for TCS was to incorporate their commitment to sustainability and innovation, by providing modern and open workspace; using natural light; incorporating flexible furniture arrangements and fostering a comfortable and inspiring environment.

Trapezium as a base shape was chosen, and multiple forms were designed based on the design consideration.

Three zones with core at center connecting them all.

After the form was finalized the complete building mass with actual height considerations was develop.

The main aim of this design problem was to understand the concept of core design. To maintain proper functioning of a multistorey building, a well-planned core is necessary.

After finalizing the core and its placement, further planning was carried out keeping in mind the design requirements and constraints.

Café & resto – This floor mainly has the main food court of the office and since it’s at a considerate height, views for the visitor’s will be great.

A shopping center is a large, indoor or outdoor complex that houses multiple retail stores, restaurants, and other amenities, all in one place.

They are designed to be convenient, offering ample parking spaces and easy access to public transportation.

Beside Maruti Vihar, G.E. Road, Raipur, Chhattisgarh Area - 38788.28 sq. m.

Soil type - Red soil

The goal is to create an environment that encourages shoppers to spend time exploring and enjoying themselves, profiting the sellers too.

The site is located along highway and is in a highly populated reason, which will increase its footfall.

Irregular site, leading to division of spaces .

CONCEPT

The form was developed in such a way that it adapts with the site shape and uses the available land mass effectively.

The concept of this Shopping Center is creating a space for all age groups and providing an ecofriendly design incorporating open terraces with green spaces, use of solar panels for generating electricity and using the available resources to the utmost level.

After the form was finalized the complete building mass with actual height considerations was develop.

SCHOOL SITE DETAILS

CONCEPT The concept behind this play school + kindergarten is incorporation of natural aspects within the available built-up, to make the environment suitable for children to nurture. Young minds develop the best when they are in close contact with nature. So, adequate landscaping and green spaces within the structure is incorporated; making the design happening for toddlers.

Also, use of colours that emit positive energy is considered; as some sharp colours affect the psychology of young child’s mind.

The site is in a developing area and the school will get more students this way.

Since, its redevelopment, the structure is not so child friendly.

LOCATION

Since, Naya Raipur is a scarcely populated area, services are not easily available.

The available resources of the site and its location can be used for benefit.

KAMAL VIHAR Dim - 60m x 25m Soil type - Red soil Roads- 6m road along both sides

Located in the developing area of Raipur in KAMAL VIHAR, the Play School + Kindergarten “WISDOM GATE” will serve to be an important place for early education of toddlers of residents of this area. Since, new settlement of large population is taking place in this region, this was a perfect site to develop a play school, benefitting the locals.

FORM RE-DEVELOPED Since, its redevelopment, the placement of columns hindered the façade design. Thus, CNC panels were used in exterior to hide the columns.
